Turrets imo is cooler especially if you can use them urself like in X2.

You could use them yourself in X3 as well, by pressing a Function key to cycle through the various views, but then nobody's flying the ship. Not exactly fun, crashing into a station because you were busy shooring at pesky M5s.

Ah but in x4 u have crew to take over while u hop in a turret and hopefully they can be told to evade fire or go to X or fight etc.

Given the propensity of pilot AI to get inside station geometry, I'd consider striking that "than" 8)

As far as i know we wil not be able to use turrets like in X3 ( i think it was in one of Q&A). We will probably use boost to evade missiles just like in XR... Not sure how it will work for capital ships though ?
It's not world hunger because we can't feed poor,it's because there will never be enough to feed the rich .....

Before XR, ships only had a single turrret on each side, with up to 10 guns keyed to each turret. In XR, each gun is its own, independently operating turret. So manual control of turrets wouldn't quite work in X4 since you'd only be controlling one gun at a time.

Also, turrrets aren't divided neatly on each side,and each side tends to have different types of guns on different turrets.
