mass driver ammo, where?

started playing the game 2 days ago(had it longer, just not a lot of time to play untill now >_<) anyway, I got myself a nice split m4 ship, 2 mass drivers, cept I can't seem to find any bloody amo for it anywhere


well the 2 ahepts work nicly, but those mass drivers .. *drool*
all the equipment docs that sell them are sold out, or never got stock ..
the latter seems more likely, cause havent seen any ships with massdrivers so far ..


just want to rip apart some hulls with masses of fast moving projectiles
at least I get the idear a massdriver does that, chain-gun like
(anyone ever equiped a medium sized mexh with 4-6 chainguns, then link their fire and rip trough slow mechs rear armor? pretty fun ;p)


anyway I'm drifting off, I tried figuring out a location of mass driver forges, cept none of the equip docs are sending transports to mass driver ammo forges so cant find any that way, and searching forum also didnt work >_<

Try ammunition factories in Argon and Split space.

There's definitely one in Argon Prime, and the one in Tharka's Sun is usually full of stock as well.

I built my own factory for ammo in my last game. Unfortunately I f'd my hard drive so I've been starting again. Gonna build an ammo factory in this game as I'm such a MD fan.

you can also find some as Hidden Wares in stations

I found 99 units in Light of Heart trading station a while ago but I think I was just lucky - have resorted to building my own ammo factory! the only way to do it.
You need energy cells and Ore - that's it. I bought a Teldaianium forge and had it shipped all the way from Seizwell to Herron's Nebula before I found out that player fabs don't need the same things as AI ones.

It's not all bad though, Teladinium is rather popular near Argon Prime
Have been keeping the ammo for myself so far but I bet that could turn I tidy profit too if I wanted.

I use M.Drivers in my Nova's rear turret, and sometimes for capping. Also, twin-mass D's are effective against the pesky Khaak m5's. So i built my own Ammo fab. Actually, i built three, so good were they selling the ammo around, that i was AGAIN out of ammo frequently
