Mobile Goner base: where?

Anyone know where this is?

I thought it was in the unknown sector by Wastelands but read a BBS item saying it was near Cloudbase SW.

The article said you can't land there but can you hack it via a Pirate base?

Not me... but I'm guessing by some of your previous posts it's terry Pratchett? At least I can't remember it from Hitchikers Guide at all...

It's from an old and honourable CRPG-series that has recently fallen on hard times...

Though I have no idea where the goner-base is (cept the temple).

I wanna know what the "S"in "BBS" stands for... "Bulletin Board S***"? "Bulletin Board Stuff"?

Anyway, apparently the base DOES exist, its random like the UFO, it just turns up in places really far out of the system.

Nah...if it was the Teladi, they'd charge you just to look at it, though I do believe they are behind the negative BBS mission rewards scam...

UFO isnt random, it follows a long winded patrol path through the universe.

Proof?

I think (THINK, that doesnt mean im sure) that once a UFO flew out of a system, and then another one flew back in through the same gate. If it was on a path, then it would carry on going through the system surely? (It wasnt a dead end system the UFO was travling to)

ive followed it personaly and it has a habit of going into a system and turning around an going back from time to time.

AFAIK there is only one UFO in the game.
