i was flying and i see a ufo... i record it.


download it here and place it in your movie folder and you can see it by your self...

Its a roving bomb. At a random point in the game it detonates, taking the entire sector with it. Adds a bit of flavour and tension.

the ufo is an egg that was inserted by the programmers.

it is a goner ship.
it has no weapons.
it is fast.
it cannot be flown by you.


just ignore them.

technically, no. but if u destroy one ure rating with them goes down. (its all a big conspiracy i tell you!) also, if u destroy it, it respawns elsewhere. try setting and m5 to follow it - a great way to explore the universe

Also had a encounter with this "egg".Later i was checking my Friend/Foe adj. in the command console and a new "Friendly Race" was added !
But were the duck can i find these guy's :?:
If it belongs to the storyline ... don't let me know (just played the first 2 missions yet)

At this point they are nothing but a novelty. Just some eyecandy and something to keep you wondering. There is no place to go to find these guys, they just appear in different places so there is NO UFO base. Also, at this point they don't come in to play in any place in the storyline so no worries there. Kind of neat though. Good luck!

If you are sending an M5 to follow it I recommend a Pegasus cause its a really fast little flying saucer, so you need an even faster ship to be sure of keeping up.

Plus, if the Pegasus gets attacked it is more likely to be able to get away.

Only problem with that is that it will eventually fly through a Xenon sector and then its goodbye to your exploring Pegasus. :(

Those UFO's are really our supply ships, where else do you think we would get salvage insurance from :)
