Well, I've looked a bit through those sites and homepages
(they don't accept anymore test accounts) and now I think Vendetta seems to be a bit different then X-Online.
(Sure, I don't know how X-Online will look like, but, I just take the X-Online which I imagine with my experience on X².)
First thing. There is nothing like to be able to own or even build stations.
Secondly, the trading part seems to be quite mediocre. At least that's what the testers are saying. Nothing like the X²-system of trading. (At least now; the devs said something about the price of goods being affected by supply and demand, but it's currently not implemented in the game.) Which means you can make yourself some 100k credits in some hours and then have enough for every ship and weapon.
Third, nothing about owning multiple ships the same time. (Even if you can't fly them at the same time.)
Forth, capships seem not to be implented but at least planned for the future.
Fifth, most of the players play some sort of CTF at the moment. Hmm... capture the flag isn't what I would want do to in a space MMG... IMHO...
But that's just what I was able to learn about the game without playing it. Can be that I'm wrong, but I can't know that now.
