Mass drivers

Is it me or have they been significantly improved in 1.4? Like, they are more powerful now? I could not swear it but it looks like they are eating a M6 hull much faster than before.

Am I right, am I wrong?

I think they are using ammo quicker, my Nova emptied in one battle, that has'nt happened before.
