M6 capture with Ion disruptors!

A friend of mine captured a Centaur, using IonDs/bHEPT combo. He's Combat Ace 1st grade, at 50%. He sent me a screenshot. It's true!
I'm off now, gonna try the same. Never done it before.

You can only capture M6s which spawn in assassination missions, so don't bother just shooting up any patrol ship you happen across--it won't work!

I have enough trouble capturing Pirate ships, I dnot think Ill bother with an M6. I will just have to save my pennies.

It was a M6 from an assassination mission.
