Omicron Lyrae Mission - Plot - Spoilers

hi all

decided that i really ought to complete the plot.

got as far as the OL mission.

how did you do it ?

i have :

killed all the khaak m2(?) that jump in.
put my m5 in the position in the beam weapon thing.
then i get killed

You were in an M5??? You should try wrapping you precious self in something a little more substancial before trying again. I assume you survived to this point using an M6? Maybe you should have an M3 parked somewhere safe until you need it for the transport mission. As I did the mission in an M3- Nova- it's the best acvice I can come up with...

Yes, Nova is the best for this mission. Its main weakness - slow speed turns out to be an advantage here. You have to strafe-manoeuvre to keep yourself "in position" and it's hard to do that precisely in a fast ship. Also, while doing all this you have to take whatever khaak throws at you - you can't dodge or run away, so strong shields and rear turret are very helpful.

i had no problems doing this mission in my nemmy and its m5(teladi harrier)

Did it in one run, no problem.
Just practice a little bit more in ship handling and you'll be allright, I promise!
