On popular request, something a little bolder than nuking spaceflies with a Phoenix, I bring you the video footage of my picnic in a Khaak sector

I did spend some more time on this video than the last, but am still a bit disappointed with it - it's not great!

It's a bit tricky to video decent action, as 100% concentration is required on the bridge of the destroyer when you're dealing with Assblasters .. as I'm sure you're all aware

I eventually cowarded out of going at-it alone, and brought along my other destroyer, and 3 Ospreys to support me

Anyway, here it is in its glory (as much glory as I could give it!).

The assblasters in this case were the Khaak M2's, they had a damn good go at me

My re-enforcement destroyer almost got took out, I saw it on 3% shield fighting another M2, and being punished by M3's and M4's

By some bizarre stroke of luck it emerged from battle with 100% hull

what i meant was that you were kind of a assblaster to, after that first m2 was down

running away firing backwards..

Fraps slowed me down horribly about half way (you can see). Took me to 2-3 fps for 10 seconds or so with all that PPC fire around. I simply don't pay my R9200 enough for this kinda thing

cant you buffer it? so it keeps downing when you are watching it, i can... (though that wont be necesary with 400kbps..)

Great movie!

Just a few questions:

Whats up with the Destroyer on your gravidar?

Shouldnt it have a Green box round it?

Or was there an ally m2 in the sector when you jumped in?

When you was 'retreating with style' i only saw your 3 Ospreys and 1 Pheonix, was that you couldnt get the 2nd Pheonix in the screen.?

Also how do you capture these movies? Do you use teh camra drones of F3?

Anyway great movie cant wiat for your 3rd movie

i had a go with fraps and it dropped my FPS by 60FPS, which is loads, in big battle scenes its almost impossible to play

The other M2 is greened, but the resolution of the video doesn't really show it much

I usually just use F2 and F3 to film the videos, but in this video there were some moments where I really needed to avert my concentration to the bridge to avoid becoming potato salad (the squishy gooey stuff in tins)

I cut most of these bits out.. had over 20 minutes of footage to edit

Not sure which bit I retreated, if it's near the beginning where the M2 appears to be going backwards - this was because I'd actually just collided with the Khaak M2. If it's the end bit you meant, I was actually running towards an M1, not retreating

I think I should edit in some monty python style effects.. "RUN AWAAAY!"
