Squash mines

I am a beginner and have just got to Brennan's triumph. I am trying to find the squash mines as mentioned by 'Bret', but can't find them anywhere , I can find plenty of asteroids, but no signs of mines or the gate. I understand that I have to hit them with a missile. Please, where can I find the squash mines? :(

When you're about 8km from the broken gate start pressing PgDown/PgUp to target the mines, they're not visible on a gravidar, but you can target them this way

Or a wasp which is cheaper and faster. Sure, you an't re-use it, but what uses are there for Drones anyway?

Or go in in a Nova with Max shields and let the mines explode harmlessly. Slightly more risky than than the above methods but cheaper in the long run.

or fly in there ar 3000 MS in a scripted dragon stopping skillfully in the dead centre and the mines won't go after you ~,^

that was a fun day lol
