Earth will we finally re-unite?

Post by -XAAR- » Tue, 23. Aug 05, 21:20

Hi all this is not rant atall but by the name "reunion" what do we all think the odds are of getting back to earth? so to any fans of the original xbtf if you think about it we have been trying to get there since 1999 so finally after a good 6 or 7 years we may finally get back,

 thats game dedication 8)

more importantly, if we get there, how will the earthlings respond? 8)

"Keep yourself and your Khaak away from us!!" :P

But really, I'm kinda skeptical about actually finding earth. It might make a sequel a little difficult to do. Then again, maybe not, I'm not on the Egosoft staff

Well the Teladi were re-united with their planet of origin in The Threat so a trip to Earth would be a nice touch. Although it would be a bit premature for me. I am also unsure what the locals would say;

Split - "This is Argon home? Split want nothing to do with creatures such as these!"
A new rig is in my hands now if only there was time...

I think we will be reunited with Earth... But I think there will be a twist... Like the Earth gets destroyed or something. Or at the very least, there is a big battle in Earth's atmosphere because the khaak/xenon want to invade.

Or something like that :P

Boron could discover that creatures similar to them (octopusses :boron: ) live on earth and some terrans kill and cook them. They could get shocked  and develop an hatred :x against all humans included Argons, break the alliance with them and join the Khaak! :khaak: :boron:

I don't think the Khaak (or Ego for that matter) will let us get back to earth just yet, and that's the way i think it's best. I think reunion is nothing more than the reunion between father and son.

With that said, i'm looking forward to the day i see the little blue and green planet again, afterall, as stated earlier, we have been trying for 7 yaers or so, and im pretty confident that the guys at Ego can make a believeable storyline that allow us to get back to earth, without ruling out X4, X5, X6, X7 etc...

An interview on a german website a while back when X3 was still X2: The Return (and subsequently reported on this very forum) reported that we do indeed get back to Earth.

And what on earth do you mean by 'I don't think the Khaak (or Ego for that matter) will let us get back to earth just yet'? It's now been 3 games and (in game years) 20+ years since 'we' got stranded in the x-universe. I'd say it's high time we got back to Earth!

I hope Reunion does not mean a return to Earth. That for a lot of people would be the end of the franchise.

Reunion could mean lots of things - as mentioned above, reunion between father and son. Reunion with the ancients. Reunion with the Xenon.

I am sure Egosoft will have a suitable surprise in store, and until the game is released everything else is pure speculation.

Where's the "I don't care as long as I get to blow lots of stuff up" option?

I say that earth is history and is gone!

if the Khaak can build one planet destroyer they can build 2 of them!

it could be so that the khaak have already killed everyone on earth..

but this time in X-3 we might actually be able to friggin well land on a planet and interact with people!.

we now have the processing and graphics to do this now...
If there was no other existence out in space other than us, then space would be a friggin waste!

If we get reunited that doesn't "end" the X universe. It just adds one more planet to the mix. There's nothing significant about Earth to anybody except some Argons, in fact most of the Split/Paranid/Boron/Teladi could care less about that blue marble.

Don't forget about X:Online that EgoSoft still has in the planning stages if not later.
