Are you looking in the right place? X3 puts its savegames and screenshots into a folder called "Egosoft" in your Documents folder, not in the game's own install folder.

I have found it as well, if Farnham's Legend, but it flew way fast and so I couldn't shoot it. Is it worth anything to capture?

I saw one too, I managed to get a few shots of it as it flew past and almost took down its shields (in the ship you start in on normal). It makes the same noise as the spaceflies in X2 or similar.

I found the UFO too. Spent an hour following it in my dico with BIRE installed. Appears to be on a tour of the universe. I thought it might lead me back to a base but got fedup waiting to blew it away!!! No, I didn't cap it & no it didn't drop any containers. Thats what I was hoping to

Did take lots of screen shots of it though. They r saved in tga format so I cant view them at the mo as nothing on my sys wants to open them

Did the UFO have a home base in X2 cos if so im trigger happy?

Do you have MGI Photosuite? That's what mine open with, and then I save them as bitmaps, gifs of JPEGs. That way you can preview the pic too.

pretty nice image viewer and it's able to open and save almost any kind of image.

and btw. i had an encounter in The Hole altough i couldn't see it visually only on my sensors which were not upgraded yet so i lost it pretty quick

saw 3 UFO's in first game day of play on X3 saw 2 UFO's in 70 game days in X2.

they go at a speed of 300 in X3. still make the argon screem when they die. when i killed the one in X3 it took a defencive manouver when i first started to assault it. it almost got away too since i had top speed of 200.

I find that thing several times an hour now. But it´s flying at 300. My Nova is only going 125. Anyone shoot it down yet? I´m thinking of making a fast M5 to get it.
