Love the mod, using it with no fake traffic and it's awesome seeing ACTUAL ships only fly around. Thank you !

People...I could SET THE SHIP'S PHYSICS TO FULL NEWTONIAN!!!! I'M SO HAPPY :D No game ever in the X1-3 serie could have a full newrtonian flight model, NEVER....but Rebirth: YES! LOVING THIS GAME!! Implemented in both normal flight and booster flight! This makes the game 1000x fun for me, next addition to the NoLane Mod.

Don't be scared I'll do it as separate option for all of you more liquid-space players :lol:

next thing your going to do is something insane like being able to travel manualy between the super highways lol

I'VE ADDED OTHER 2 OPTIONAL FILES YOU CAN USE IF YOU WANT TO EXPERIENCE REALISTIC FLIGHT PHYSICS IN REBIRTH. DUE TO THE LIMITATION OF THE ENGINE (UP TO NOW) THE FULL NEWTONIAN MODEL IS QUITE UNUSABLE SINCE IT IS NOT POSSIBLE TO USE THE STRAFING IN FULL NEWTONIAN. THE SECOND OPTION (ASSISTED) IS A COMPROMISE BETWEE THE VANILLA PHYSICS AND THE FULL INERTIAL.

I sorta like highways and limited booster adds balance to the game...

Was going to use this MOD to get around the crash that happens when exiting the highways ever since 1.16.

Unfortunately right now, at the start of a brand new FREEPLAY... i have absolutely no idea where anything is. There is no way to navigate to any other areas of the sector unless your lucky... if your not, youll end up on the edge of the system 700km away from anything and not even know it.

Is there a MOD that makes all locations visible on map? Or some other way to navigate?

EDIT: For the moment I am simply riding along with an energy trader... lol and discovering the universe as he goes about his business.

Yes look for the debug mod..actually I'm waiting for a patch that changes the map of the game, at least to show where you are (as in X3). Then The future developm. is to make the zones immediatly visible on the map not the stations). Anyway if you get lost, just target any zone on the map at set the course to there :wink:

yes you can. open the map, click a zone. set target. the pointer will point there, follow it

I like the idea of hitching rides with other ships. What are the chances of getting a view distance increase past the default 100?

Also, peeps can go to Roguey's site for a map and the go exploring out into the wild yonder. If you get lost, just point back to the station you came from and try again.

I of course am so crazy to play the campaign with this MOD and the Physics Mod (assisted) and I'm liking it so much... first trick if you get stuck as I was at the begining of system DeVrie when you have to escort the ship and it goes so slowly trhough those only 300km that you would make in 60 seconds with your new ship and he takes forever instead.....well....SHOT IT DOWN!! :D It worked for me, the mission went on :wink:

Update.
I could implement the addition of boosters to all trade ships also the small ones. Now thanks to a script by Killerog that commands them to use booster I think we are near to a first full release. This means you can use the mod with the plot too.

Of course we need people to test, in particular during escort missions otherwise they are too slow and boring. For now it seems that only with a new game the thing works, I'm looking for a solution to make it work with a savegame. Mybe a script that reload all equipments of the ships saved in the savegame?

Last night I ran across groups of enemy fighters just stuck in space not moving until I shot at one and then it would 'wake up' and fight me, but its friends would just stay there unmoved by their buddy's destruction, until I shoot at them.

I was wondering if anyone else had seen this and if this might be because of the no lanes mod, or if it was a general bug in the game. If its a game bug, its a pretty big one.

that is something I'm wondering too. I see often enemy ship standing still abd reacting only after I shoot to them fot long. But I think is due to the game since it happens n the missions near the stations where they don't need any highway.

Anyway thanks for reporting, tjhis is something we have to investigate. Probably a new AI for missions and attacking ships is needed.

NEW ALPHA RELEASE.

Now ALL traders use the boosters.

No economy slow-down, still possible issues with mission pathways. Please help us by testing the mod.
