You can use your old saves. Yakis are part of a plot and their reputation will evolve during that plot.

All plots are available to any gamestart. It’s simply the "starting" part of those gamestarts that are exclusive to said gamestarts. They’re nice but relatively short and you can do them by playing these gamestarts for a few hours before returning to your main "save" (if you wish).

Just ten days after the release of our big update and the new expansion, we're pushing out another hotfix for X4: Foundations 4.00 to deal with a few leftover issues, especially in stories and missions. Here's the full changelog for X4: Foundations 4.00 Hotfix 2:
  • Fixed certain ship models not being claimable in person.
  • Fixed population information from terraforming getting lost when loading savegame.
  • Fixed missing description for Sealed Vacuum Tubes.
  • Fixed Terran Fleet Delivery Missions requesting impossible ship setup.
  • Fixed Defenders of Sol mission getting stuck on Approach: Erratic Miner objective under specific circumstances.
  • Fixed Final Debrief mission issues with mission relevant characters potentially dying too soon.
  • Fixed War of Intervention mission guidance breaking under specific circumstances.
  • Fixed End of Terrorism objective pointing to station instead of signal leaks.
  • Fixed various issues in Covert Operations mission.
  • Fixed War of Intervention mission not containing reward.
  • Fixed A Pirate's Trail mission getting stuck if enemy ships are defeated before player arrives.
  • Fixed data leaks sometimes spawning in centre of station during Pioneer gamestart mission.

  • Fixed main weapon on Asgard being destroyed.

Personally, I actually prefer the current version over 3.3 and wish the solar-intensity would differ for other areas as well.
With 4.0, it's the first time I still feel enjoyment with the game with more then 24 hours of ingame time. With 3.3, I would be thinking of restarting already as it all got too easy.

I dont need to if you look in the forums for 2 seconds, you find mayority of posts that is about this all. Ppl upsett and angry over the broken things and systems not working mining not working stations not makin gprofits and no on and on. the list is long and ppl are not happy.

And this I don't understand.
I'm not the most experienced when it comes to stations, but mine (1 of each terran production module, apart from medical and food) is doing fine.
I got probes all over the universe, but my mining ships (assigned to stations) collect what is needed from the sector next door, none of them goes across to the other side of the universe.

Only tweaks I did was set the raw materials to my faction only and the prices at the lowest value.
It's slow, because I can't afford many mining ships, but money does come in.

Same for my solar power plant in mercury, NPC-factions go there to buy energy from me. Am probably going to set up a trade station at a more convenient location to improve sale eventually, but for now, it's doing what I want it to do.

I am seeing income and plenty of gameplay. Just because you aren't making a billion credits after a few hours of play where you don't even have to put any effort into strategy does not mean the gameplay is broken. This sounds like complaining about a jigsaw puzzle because all the pieces aren't square.
If you have been around since the first game you would know XBTF wasn't easy, X2 and X3 weren't intended to play a few days and beat. They all have challenges and are intended to make the player THINK as well as providing weeks and months of entertainment.
If you want to go fast, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.

Seriously look in the forums and you can drown yourself in problems ppl having not only income but generall game play. How about stations not mining propper recorce and all. i understand you are a fan boi i am also, that is why i try and get the message over to Egosoft so they can deal with it asap before they ruin the entire game.

It's quite common that people aren't fond of changes. That's what we have here - a X4 that is evolving into a more serious game. Thus the not-so-easy mining game mechanics.

Like always, Egosoft will address the most real problems in time. And as always the exaggerated ones will be forgotten in time as they aren't real problems. This mostly happens when people adapt to new situations.

I'm doing quite fine so far - I adapted to the changes and I am building my 3rd Asgard right now. That's 1mrd credits for blueprints'n stuff + getting a hang on the new mining stuff. So it is possible. (CoH forced me to own my first L & XL shipyard because I couldn't just simply buy all the new toys but have to build them myself)

But yeah, I'm not here to bicker too. Just wanted to show a different perspective as well.

Stations get plenty of supplies (at least in my game) and miners work great. The only problem comes when you start building a bunch of mega-factories. But at that point money is valuless anyways as once you have a shipyard, not only can you build your own free ships, but produce your own materials to build new stations.

Everybody has their own playstyle and you can't expect a company to devote time and resources just to make maybe 5% of the customers happier, but meanwhile making the other 95% less happy with the game. They design the game to make as many customers as they can happy (which is contrary to devoting their time focusing on one, or even a hundred for that matter, people complaining that the game isn't tailored to their specific play style.

I tend to skew optimistic about X4, but I'm not this optimistic: Miners do not work great.

They have many little issues, such as going way out of their way to mine low densities. But the big one is station miners' inability to switch from one type of liquid/solid to another. The second you want to make Computronic Substrate - one ware out of only three production wares in the Terran economy - you need two solids and a liquid, you're stuck with this. A single station production component is not a megacomplex problem. It's not a late-game problem. That's an early-to-mid game problem. I'm still far from having shipyards and had to sort this out.

My optimistic bent is this: you can work around it. You can make depots to sort collections into just one liquid and one solid. Then have miners assigned as traders to move those from the depots to the production station. At that point, sure, miners work. I still wouldn't say they're working great because the miners still won't mine as efficiently as they should, but you can throw enough of them at it that it's a relative non-issue. No longer a showstopper, but something fundamentally broken enough that the players need to take a fairly large detour to resolve it.

My guess is that the reason why Hotfix 3 is taking so long is they're trying to track these issues down.

We're back with another hotfix for X4: Foundations 4.00 to deal with a couple of remaining issues, so that you can spend more time with the game over the Easter weekend.

Here's the changelog for X4: Foundations 4.00 Hotfix 3:
  • Improved collision detection, especially at high speeds.
  • Fixed re-tasked NPC traders sometimes holding on to reservations for trades they are not going to complete.
  • Fixed not seeing assigned trainees on HQ after relocating it to sector without training capabilities.
  • Fixed player being able to easily board ships they've just sold.
  • Fixed missile launchers not being available to Terran and Pioneer factions.
