Yes, next update will probably be 4.10 with the new online features and some performance enhancements, according to a recent interview with Berndt.

If there were more info publicly available, it would be somewhere prominent such as the news page or a sticky thread at the top of the forum.

Brute force and ignorance solves all problems, just not very efficiently.

If brute force isn't working, then you aren't using enough.

I think the latest official Info was the interview with rugged gamer here: viewtopic.php?f=146&t=437870&hilit=rugged

If I remember correctly Bernd mentioned that they have already a 4.10 Beta that they are internally testing but which is not ready for public Beta yet, but soon to come.
