Do the Alliance of the Word have any story in this game?

I am trying to get my rep up with ALI faction. For now the only purpose I see to get rep up (which is very hard btw) is to get a few of their unique blueprints.
Am I missing something from a story perspective?

The encyclopedia tells you all their story.
Also iirc their unique BPs are +10 max which is easy to get with Auto Traders selling to them.
Well, you need Auto Traders first. Though a trading station is also possible and way easier.

The Alliance has no plot whatsoever. It does give an alternative to acuiring equipment (ARG/ANT, PAR/HOP and TEL/MIN) not availlable because the player has a lower standing with some factions, and also it's the cheapest S/M and XL AI shipyard with limitations (only Vanguard ships, S Fighters, S/M Traders and only one Builder, no S/M Miners and no L ships whatsoever).

Hmm that is a shame , I thought TOA added some story missions for them.
