[5.10 HF2] Player HQ keeps destroying drones
Whenever I am in the same sector as the PHQ, any drones deployed in its immediate vicinity have a tendency to get launched off the edge of the map at high velocity, and eventually destroyed. This only seems to happen when I am in-sector, but it renders the PHQ effectively nonfunctional unless I completely avoid Grand Exchange I.

This save places the player at the PHQ, with the Erlking and a construction vessel docked at the station. The bug can be reproduced by:
* Ordering the construction ship to build for the PHQ. Prior to this save, I watched the ship's drone complement drop from 90 to less than 30 after just a few minutes of building.
* Ordering the construction ship to transfer some building drones to the PHQ's XL maintenance bay. Both the building drones and the cargo drones carrying them will be lost.
* Ordering the Erlking to transfer wares to the PHQ. Again, both cargo and drones will be lost.
* Ordering the Erlking to upgrade/repair at the XL maintenance bay. The station will lose all of its building drones before the upgrade is even a few % complete.
If the player is out-of-sector, all of these actions can be performed with zero issues.

Personally, in vanilla 5.10 I am typically losing 10-15 construction drones from my builder ship after most station builds. The 30 on-duty drones per build all work OK but on station completion when the builder gets to the 'finishing up' stage, a number never redock at the builder but apparently fly off, still shown as active, and are eventually lost. None of these stations were the PHQ and there were no attacks by hostiles or pirates during the builds.

[5.1 HF2 All DLC] Drones Still Mysteriously Disappearing
In the following save, I have a Teuta (ZQT-038) which previously had 20 build drones. This Teuta has repeatedly lost all of its build drones somehow, and only its build drones. To sort of try and rule out the drones being killed by Xenon or Kha'ak small craft, I gave the Teuta 19 defense drones as well as an escort of 3 gladius. The Teuta is also equipped with 5 argon M flak. Neither the Teuta nor any of the Gladiuses appear to have suffered any damage, however all of the build drones are gone. It would be nice if the player log could indicate how or even where a drone died, as at this point, I have no idea what, if anything, I'm doing wrong.

I'm not certain it's related but I noticed some of my repair drones deciding to fly away after having repaired my ship.

I've experienced this issue too. I haven't a clue how to reproduce it or anything, unfortunately.
For me, it was a repair drone on a ship. I had just finished up a fight while flying my Odysseus, where I took a small amount of hull damage. The repair drones deployed, and I happened to be looking at the map at the time; I was sitting still in space and unmoving (no ship travel at all).
Suddenly the map started zooming out, out, and more out. After a moment it stopped, and I was left with one less repair drone than I had (6 became 5 in the loadout screen), and a very long line of explored space, shooting off in one direction on the map, into otherwise unexplored space.
It was the drone, having just shot out of the local area at a high speed, basically, and disappeared or destroyed itself shortly after shooting off. Something is definitely going on, maybe physics related? Regardless, as mentioned, I didn't have a save right before it happened, and I haven't been able to repeat the behavior, but it's definitely happening on rare occasions.

think i was having this issue as well, i noticed every time i finished a build my drone count was lower and was wondering if some were being left behind or something, i ended up just getting rid of all drones since for some reason builders build at full speed with 0 drones, at least till theres a proper fix, the AI oddly doesnt seem to ahve this issue tho, i kept hiring the same npc builder and they seemed to keep their drones stocked.Alan Phipps wrote: ↑Tue, 3. I did witness some repair drones the other day yeet themselves out of the system, was attacking a xenon station and then noticed 1 of my drones go flying and the map hex zoomed out really far for afew seconds with a trail the drone took before zooming back in, no idea what caused that, only seen that happen once so far in about 200 hours tho.

It seems to happen less (or even be avoided) if you mainly stay OOS during the build and especially during the construction ship's finishing up afterwards.

No. TBH, I don't see how what you're building has much to do with it. I have built about 5 identical defence stations (saved design Argon with single pier dock) in ex-Xenon sectors and of those I lost drones on the two when I was IS during some building and finishing up, and none when I was not. The losses were not to Xenon attacks, I should add.
