5.10 HF2, no mods of any sort running; all DLCs installed.
The old model of the Odysseus Vanguard (and probably the Sentinel as well) has some floating component elements (shields). See the pic. The two shield generators on the back of the Odysseus "foot" are both elevated over the geometry of the hull. I've circled them in red. You can just barely see one of the two generators on the front of the foot (it's been destroyed), and it does not float in the manner that the rear ones do.

I just checked this in 5.10 HF3 and it remains an issue.

I just checked and this remains an issue in 6.00 Beta 1. I'll make a new thread in the beta forum, provided that's permissible.
