Hello everyone I can't launch the game on linux with nvidia driver version more than 510.39.01, it hangs before showing splash screen.
I have a RTX 2070
I have tested with the latest one...still nothing
Everyone got an idea ?
Thanks
Linux NVIDIA latest driver won't start - Caused by flatpak version of Steam.

Re: Linux NVIDIA latest driver won't start
It is possible that Nvidia has made some changes in the process of open sourcing their kernel driver code.
https://github.com/NVIDIA/open-gpu-kernel-modules
A good idea would be to provide the required vulkan listing information. If that is missing it would mean the GPU driver and/or user level interface is not installed correctly.

Re: Linux NVIDIA latest driver won't start
It doesn't work with driver version 510.68.02 either. I have tried open source and closed source driver...nothing works.
The only way to start the game is to use the wine tkg 510.39.01-195 version.
I am using archlinux

Re: Linux NVIDIA latest driver won't start
nVidia 510.73.05 on Ubuntu 20.04 is working fine here. Occasional (like if I don't immediately start playing X4 after starting machine) black screen and have to log out/log in or restart (on Linux!!). Guessing it's driver or Vulkan related.
Re: Linux NVIDIA latest driver won't start
I have found the problem, it was because i was using the flatpak version of steam.
Now i am using the native one and it work flawlessly with the latest nvidia driver
