[#132][5.10 H3] Station building plan cleared on confirming changes - Fixed in a future update (>5.10).

Specific set of added and removed modules in station builder is cleared on 'Confirm module changes', even though no errors are shown.

Steps (also included as video):

1. open station builder for ! PIO Solar Power Plant
2. remove 4-dock TER pier from the top
3. copy S/M dock sequence from top and put on bottom
4. add 4-dock TER pier to the top again
5. press "confirm module changes". List of proposed changes will disappear.

Note: this station had modules disappear twice as in 1830 bug (viewtopic.php?f=180&t=447286), once during longer game-play right before i recorded this video, and another time when i just loaded the game. There's no link to 1830 bug except that it was same "problem" station.

I've got the same problem in the non-beta (5.10 479084).
Both when clicking confirm changes (even when the ship approach rectangles are not red) and whenever a module is completed.

Same here. It first happened to me last night. I think the save game was corrupted somehow. I was fairly early on, so I restarted and, so far, so good.

Planned and Changed Modules Disappear

** There's a problem with the link. The downloaded file (download_object) needs to be manually renamed as a .zip, such as PlannedAndChangedModules.zip


One of my stations has 8 modules built and a queue of unbuilt modules. After 3 minutes those queued modules are removed from the list.

Steps to reproduce:
  • Load the game
  • A few seconds (2-3) later open the map and via the "Property Owned" and right-click "Plan Build" on "Avarice IV - Scrap & Energy Cells"
  • Close the window via the ESC key
  • Wait 3 minutes
  • Reopen the "Plan Build" and the unbuild modules are no longer displayed
I used a clock with seconds to time the wait. I first opened the "Plan Build" window at 16:25:30. I checked a few times (every 30 seconds) and saw that the modules were present. After 16:28:30 (3 minutes later) the unbuilt modules were removed.

The .zip file contains a picture before and after the problem.

The game is unmodified and up to date. I play via Steam on PC (Windows 11).

1. Load the save game. Go in to "Plan build" for the Ship Technology factory in 18 Billion.
2. You'll see that all modules are ok (there are seven new production modules, three storage, and a bunch of connectors), there are sufficient build funds, and a builder has been hired. There is nothing to change, and nothing to confirm.
3. Exit the game.
4. Reload the same save. Let the game play.
5. After the first vertical connector is built all remaining planned build changes simply vanish.
6. It doesn't matter whether you use "Plan build" to look at it / monitor progression. It happens even if you don't touch "Plan build" again.
7. It doesn't matter whether you leave the build storage trade rules on "Only me", or change them to no restrictions.
8. If you just monitor progress from the station information panel on "Map" you'll see the same thing.

I can't say that it always happens. I can say that it's happened to me with this save four or five times (I gave up after that).

EDIT: I should add that this is with public beta 5.10 Hotfix 3 (ver 479084).

From the patch notes for 6.0 "Fixed station construction plan changes sometimes being lost when applied". Is that the fix for this issue?
