[BUG][X4 6.0 HF1 ALL DLCs] Boron Engineers voices are way too quiet - Nevermind, understood now.

Game save - https://www.dropbox.com/s/hontk0zxaptiw ... ml.gz?dl=0
DXDiag + VulkanInfo - https://www.dropbox.com/s/9zzkbia68t1zd ... -6.7z?dl=0

No mods in use ever during this continued save games history.

Issue : Boron Servicemen crew voices are waaaay too quiet.

Repro :

1. Load up the save, you are onboard a ship which is ordered to land at a station.
2. To your left is the Captain in the pilots seat.
3. To your right is a Boron Engineer crewman.
4. Wait for the landing to commence.

You will hear the normal volume level of a Pilot, she is quite clear and loud enough.

But ANY of the engineers who come and sit in the co-pilot seat are barely audible when they respond to the pilots instructions.

I would expect them to be as loud as any other race pilot/crewman, but I can hardly hear them with the volume up loud.

Ehm, disregard this report ..
When I am standing in the Hydra (with an NPC pilot), I like to stand as far forward in the middle of the cockpit as possible to maximise the outside view.
What I didn't realise is the Service crew Boron, when given commands by the pilot, has moved to the Navigation seat which is waay back in the cockpit. Hence why he goes too quiet.

The topic has been renamed to understood now, but thats not entirely right :

I dont suppose there is any chance of swapping the Navigation seat to the front right of the cockpit of the Hydra Regal is there ?
Really would like hearing the Pilot and Navigator service crew talking to each other.

But when the Boron service crew is in the Gunnery seat (currently adjacent the pilot at the front right of the cockpit), they dont have any conversation dialogue with the pilot ...

So if the only time they talk is when they go back aft to the Navigation seat .. Its kind of pointless them having a conversation you can not hear, all the work that went into giving them the vocal reactions and we cant hear it unless the volume is disturbing the neighbours.
Wasted work?

I kind of get why the Gunnery seat is front right, but if I am going to get personal in a fight I would more than likely jump into the pilot seat anyway. So it seems a shame that we have a service crew in its navigation roll voiced to react to the Captains instructions and we cant hear it (although we can read the subtitles if they are on so we know we should be hearing something from the navigator).

The Technical Support report (ie a bug report as the thread is titled) is indeed understood now. If you wish to make a gameplay suggestion to change the way things are implemented in ship models, even if for very good reasons, I'm afraid that needs to go into the main gameplay forum.

I will flag this up to the modelers though - this time.
