Adding ship modifications

Hi all

I hope someone can point me to some existing post(s) or explain to me how.

I would like, hopefully, to add my own extra ship modifications (like mod_shield_capacity_02_mk3) to the game.
Can someone point me to how to do that?

Is this possible, or is it only possible to adjust those that already exist!

Never seen mod for that but DeadAir RT have one for xenon if you can reverse engeneering here is link https://github.com/DeadAirRT/deadairevolution

mods are defined in equipmentmods.xml, associated wares are defined in wares.xml.
