As a brand new (hopeful) modder, I was wondering which mods out there have the best documentation for what they are doing. I want to learn from other's good examples.
Are there any working mods that do things well and ideally explain what they are doing while they do it?
Thanks.

Welcome BigDangHero
The sticky threads here in this forum provide many useful links on how to get started, including the tools needed, and many tutorials on various aspects of modding. As in every programming language also in XML/LUA coding a clear format with comments on what is done applies and I'm confident that our modders have written their codes accordingly.
If you have any specific questions, please do not hesitate to ask in this forum.
