Any way to save Noa T'Hlp?

In the split mission, it seems that I always fix the spy satellite too late, and when I get to the funeral ship the Patriarch Noa T'Hlp has already been executed. Is there any actual way to save him?

If you pay attention to wgat the Curbs say. They saw that patriarch as a traitor and part of the problem. So taking that unworthy creatures life was the Split thing to do
