Split plot (Resolved)

I have reached the point where I have delivered the fleet to Heart of Acrimony, and set bombs on the Raptor. I have done this 4 times all with different outcomes. The first time I was in a small ship and unable to destroy the Raptor and after a while I was told to acquire 400,000,000 cr! The second time I went in with my Syn and destroyed the Raptor but couldn't get out of the system without getting destroyed myself. The third time I didn't destroy the Raptor but was still destroyed on my way out of the system. The fourth time I didn't destroy the Raptor and was able to get out (in my Katana) and got a message saying mission completed but I was still attacked until I got into Teladi space. What is supposed to happen?
