I've reloaded this save once, and the issue reproduced. When I teleport to another sector, the K gets destroyed in seconds. My suspicion is that this excessive shield recharging is caused by a clipping lasertower.

Possibly video evidence of the problem reported here.
Possibly related to attention levels. Looking at the video the issue stopped when the player moved closer to the target ship (higher attention level?).

I don't agree with that assessment. I moved closer to get into main cannon firing range, then stopped. After firing a salvo, the K's shields recharged from ~50% to 100% in a few seconds.Imperial Good wrote: ↑Mon, 20. Ops you are right. I saw the ship go closer and start to take damage but it actually was still regenerating excessively fast by the end of the video.

Shield and Hull Regeneration tends to scale up based on the number and size of enemies nearby.
If you didn't drop all those laser towers, it wouldn't be a problem.
