Hi,

new game started in beta 1, smugglers start, vanilla save: https://www.dropbox.com/s/bxo21og4x3oub ... ml.gz?dl=0

Use ship OOA-192 (5.Scout Pegasus Vanguard), he is in space Trinity Sanctum III, try to issue the Explore command by right clicking the gate leading from Trinity Sanctum III to Trinity Sanctum VII, it will issue that order to explore the sector the ship is in (TSIII), you can try any gate on the map every time the order is made for Trinity Sanctum III

Right click > Explore on gate was working fine in all betas until beta 6, I used it to basically explore the whole map ( it should make the explore command in the sector the gate leads to if anyone is confused :D )

Right click explore in empty space works fines it seems
Fixed ships getting spawned away from ship configuration menu at resupply ships from automatically getting deployables.

I'm seeing this too, quite annoying as I have to manually pilot the ship through the gate now. Not a fun time when you have 10 or so scout ships mapping the galaxy.

in my games it is working, i klick on the gate and choose explore, and the ship goes to this sector till the "middle" and start to explore . despisite this explore is somehow creepy, i had no probem with it so far

I have the same issue since 6.0b6.

One day before the update it worked fine.
I trued all saved games and a new game ... in all instances the explore unknown sector doesn't work anymore. The ship starts exploring the same sector as it is in at the time the command is given.

I'm getting this also. Ships being told to explore on a gate will generate the order in their present system.

1. select 'FRK Scout II', a newly built and configured scout ship.

2. order it to explore by right clicking on a gate.

3. observe order location.

This did not happen for me until beta 6. It does not seem to matter either whether the system on the other side is known or not, nor whether it's a gate, accelerator, or highway.

Fixed. Thanks for the reports. Regressed in beta 6. Fix should be in a future update.

Would you please release a hotfix to address this issue? A really annoying bug for a fresh start.

If we released a hotfix every time someone found a single issue annoying, no development work would ever get done. The fix will be in the next update, and as you can see from the releases we have done recently, that hopefully won't be that far away.

I have just encountered this issue too, at the Beta 6 version. It's stopping my scouts in their exploration as they are unable now to fly through the gates/accelerators.

In my case, when I send him to explore a gate/accelerator to unknown sector, instead of flying through it the ship gets a magical order to explore the same sector where it is instead.

To reproduce the issue.:
1. Get some scout ships.
2. Find a jumpgate/accelerator (superhighway will probably have the issue too) to an unknown sector.
3. Select one of the scout ships, right click the jumpgate/accelerator and select the "explore" order.
4. Notice how the ship refuses to acknowledge the order and instead decides to explore the sector where it is.

I am attaching my save. In case of the save, there are two scouts, who are now waiting for further orders - Litigious Rodent and Perseus Sentinel (both are unassigned to). Litigious Rodent is already positioned at an accelerator at Tharka's Ravine XVI sector. Try sending the ship to "explore" the accelerator only to find out that it refuses to fly through it. Also I don't know if it's intended behavior or not but when I order it to "fly to the position" while right clicking the accelerator, the ship flies next to it, but then instead of finishing the order and moving on to the default one ("hold position" in my case), it instead keeps the flying order in the order list, while telling me that it's awaiting next orders.

The second one, Perseus Sentinel, is also awaiting at sector Ianamus Zura VII, where is a jumpgate, which again it refuses to fly the same way as the previous one.

issue has already been fixed for next beta, you should read previous posts

[6.00 Beta 6] Explore unknown space

I can't place order to explore unknown space, instead order to explore current sector is created. Video and Save File

In order to fix this bug as well as an earlier one regarding this order, I've had to remove the order marker on the map. Just letting you know so that people following this thread at least are aware.

Thanks! I mostly use this feature at the beginning since i don't use mods. i set gate them max range to explore.

I noticed that though the ships now explore (without line to show where they go), the option to expand/shrink the radius is gone... This can be a big nuisance for people who do not actually explore but give this command to search for things, like Data Vaults or abandoned ships (like me, especially useful for the Drill in the Void).
