The ring segment could be easily detached and duplicated to adjust cost and defence strength.
Each segment has 150 L Plasma Turrets, 60 L Pulse Turrets and 90 L Beam Turrets

I started to rebuild this design because I wanted to use only Terran Mk1 shields, as it is definitely a waste of resources normally to put Mk3 all over for the hundreds of hardpoints, even Mk2 is a stretch. But in rebuilding I noticed there are a lot of fudged snaps and messed up rotations in the original, and had to start building from scratch. Result is essentially the same, but no geometry issues if that would bother you. Also not using any plasma, only Terran pulse and Beams, for personal preference. Price is about 1/3 (~500m) of the original post.
Stage I is just the first two rings, Stage II has the third ring which can copy easily to expand as you wish, Stage III has six rings as the original. Place a 2km/2km/2km plot with the south face touching the gate and then expand to cover it, will load my design perfectly.
