[FL-552][FIX][BUG] Installing Incompatible Weapons - fixed in upcoming update

Post by Klord » Fri, 7. May 21, 16:15

If we transfer weapons' from one ship to another, the transfered weapons get automatically installed in the receiving ship even the said weapons are incompatible with the ship.

Ex: 1
Skiron cant equip ISR, but here it has equipped. Weapons' were transferred from Nemesis (plot reward).

Ex: 2
Pelican cant equip ISR, but here it has equipped them. Transferred from my Skiron cuz I got new CIGs for it.

In both instances, weapons can be fired. But if I unequip them from ship menu, I cant equip them back. So this happens only when doing transfers.

This is a minor issue and doesn't effect the gameplay. But thought of reporting nonetheless. :)

What about X4? Nah, I prefer a space simulator rather than a walking simulator.

That's actually a nice little exploit, not sure I'd want this fixed :P

The Caiman Super Freighter has the same problem and can equip IBL and CFA. It appears to only happen when teleporting weapons to a non-player ship.
... 58000 cargobay and 5x IBL... forget an M2, I'm buying a Caiman!

The ship doesn't have weapon energy to sustain heavy weapons though. One salvo and the energy is 0% and it takes forever to recharge. So totally not recommended ! :D
