Claiming Sectors? - answered

Is it possible to claim sectors for yourself? Mainly im referring to unclaimed sectors that are in the game. I know this is possible in X4 but here

so far i was only able to claim one system through the plot, Xenon Hub

so far i have played the game you can claim a sector when you have a station in a sector that is not claimed. try to find hyperjumppoints and then build a hypergate from the guild and then your ships should go there and you can claim it when a station is build there but not sure if that work because my game crashed ever 30 min max and i can`t finish my projekt

You need to build a trade dock in the sector, then use that to claim the sector

only works form unclaimed sector right? or can you go to example xenon 101 build a trading dock clear the sector and claim it?

No, only unclaimed sectors

However, any sector behind a hsap you buy access to will become unclaimed too

Ok thats great then, too bad that you can't take over Xenon sectors for example but at least unclaimed ones can be owned, and there are plenty of unclaimed sectors out there for me to work on that for a while. This is the main reason i play these games, exploration and claiming sectors

So i built a Boron Trading Station in an unclaimed sector but option to claim the sector doesn't show up. Is it because a pirate base is in the sector already or some different station needs to be used?

it wont let you claim if theres another trade dock in the sector. It might be seeing the pirate base as a trade dock

Ok makes sense, i assumed as much so i reloaded my save and tried to put it in a unclaimed sector that has no other trade docks but again it didn't work so im guessing i need to find a system that has no stations of any kind, not even mining ones?

EDIT: so i tried to put it in a sector that has no stations of any kind and yet again i can't seem to claim it. The option just doesn't show up in the menu so im at a loss

Ah i see, yea it shows unknown in those sectors i tried. So these don't work right? Only unclaimed?

yes, it has to say Unclaimed.

there are a few that are unknown and not claimable.

all the sectors behind HSAP will start as Unknown, but these will become Unclaimed once you gain the rights from the Explorers Guild
