Hey all,
In X3AP - albeit quite heavily modified - I could buy Jump Beacons to aid my ships. Placing them next to a Station, mine or other Factions, massively sped up trade runs for automated station-assigned ships. I was hoping I'd be able to do this in X3FL, but haven't found anywhere that sells them.
Possible to purchase Jump Beacons?

Re: Possible to purchase Jump Beacons?
You can buy single use jump beacons from TerraCorp.
For the full beacons, you need to steal them by boarding ships that have them

Thanks, looks like I'm going thieving then... What sort of ships carry them? I have been looking and haven't spotted even one yet.
Re: Possible to purchase Jump Beacons?
If you play in official Steam version you can order complex deployment and bail that HephCorp ship that delivers the beacon. It's very fast and gets destroyed quickly once captured, so you have to be even faster, but it's possible. In unofficial patch it has been fixed, so you can scan capital Rapid Response ships and Xenon's M1/M2 in their sectors. But me personally wasn't able to find it for months of playing.
Re: Possible to purchase Jump Beacons?
I believe Cycrow said that each new Rapid Response capital has a 10% chance to carry a beacon. It's a viable option to destroy enemy RR ships without a beacon so that they can respawn with a new chance at find one.
