X2 + Rammstein + Avis = Fan Video No3 (url DL)

Post by Avis » Thu, 18. Nov 04, 23:44

Ok I'm real sorry about all the delay, unavoidable 'issues' but all sorted now :D

This video has been quite a while in the making and nearly as long in the public posting ;-)

the poster :D

Video is 30 Meg

Ok to get the video you are going to need a couple of things,
1) a DivX 5.11 playback codec (www.divx.com get the free NON spyware player)

Thanks to Mad Goners & 'Sagan' (ie hosting) ;-) thanks for that.

If you would like a smaller 10Meg version of the above just say so and I'll see about sorting a tracker out for it.

Enjoy :-)

Bit Torrent client Im currently using is quite unintrusive, ie doesnt run constantly (right click in task bar and select close does just that and it doesnt auto run on startup ever).

making it available via a webdownload would have been very much prefrable but not an option unfortunately

Im using Azureus, which is more of a trumped up Java applet to be honest but very competent (it seems).

Ive also had recomended ABC Torrent, but cant personaly vouch for it.

I have no idea,
please read the faq Ive provided a link to above if in doubt I aint a BitTorrent expert, and your question is way too generic for me to even atempt and answer.

but to clear it up, is it part of the Client ? or the Link I posted ? if its a popup then kill the popup,, there shouldnt be any, if its when you click to download the torrent from the linked page then download the file to HDD and open with client as described above..

Loved the Mad Goner Battlestation. :)
Dunno what that Flibble powered thingy was but the most fearsome thing you are likely to meet in the real temple is Marvins Donkey. :D

I downloaded the torrent with right click ans save as, then clocked the torrent on my HD to start it.

I`ll leave the torrent open overnight. :)

It comes up as soon as I go to the page and before I even click on the link for the torrent file.

Oh, didn't notice any popups (I'll thank Firefox until other evidence is presented).

Just finished watching it and...

You monster! You hurt Mr. Flibbles!

(not to mention blew us all up, but mainly it's the Flibble thing).

Fan-damned-tastic video, Avis. Particularly loved the Colossus close-up (the screen-shaker) and the ramming plan (a good, Klingon plan!)

Mmm, 28 inches of widescreen lovliness. You just cost me half an hours sleep, Avis, and I don't begrudge you a minute of it.

There is no higher praise.

If I can ever get hold of it.....my machine is on 24/7.

Unless I'm kneedeep in the game during the evening hours.....some nights.

It's on most of the time anyway.

Finally got in to start dl'ing the file..........did anyone else pick up a trojan while doing this?

Or is it just something that my AVG thinks is a trojan?

Im using AVG myself (just updated a few hours ago no warnings of naughty things but as mentioned I use popupcop for blocking nastys, aswell as spywareblaster or somsuch.

1) a DivX 5.11 playback codec (www.divx.com get the free NON spyware player)

2) A Bit torrent Client,
(http://www.dessent.net/btfaq/ FAQ if this bit torrent thing makes no sence to you) there is a choice of clients available.

3) Download the file on this page (the torrent) http://www.torrentreactor.net/torrents/view_38782

4) with your Bit Torrent client open the aforedownloaded file and bobs ya uncle it should be away.

YES Bit Torrent is safe and doesnt lead to hackers raping your system,

If there are no seeders available when you join the torrent then post here and I or anyone else who feels generous can jump in (I'l leave it open for a few days at leaste personaly).

If you would like a smaller 10Meg version of the above just say so and I'll see about sorting a tracker out for it.

Enjoy :-)
Looks like torrent is down atm.

Hi Avis

Got the trojan warning when I clicked in the vid link on the torrent site......a pop up came up and said I had to dl it before I could get the video.

Got the video ok (awfully dark on my machine for some reason) and the torrent is running at home on my machine. Haven't been back home yet to check the results of the avg scan.
