what do you mean by a bug?

As a hotkey to block a ship is easy i'll put one in but it would only work with these ships if they were tagged before RRF assimilated them

Oh every time the Krait went to attack an enemy every ship in the vicinity would freeze, enemies and mine alike, including the Krait. I think it was caused by RRF anyway.

That might be useful for XTM players actually :)

I moved the RRF drive out of mine and into a spare capped LX, for storage and...um..."observation" to see if it came to life at any time. :) The Krait has been r/e'd at my PHQ and is ready for production now. Any "bugs" or orphaned scripts that might have been running on it as a result of the RRF hijacking should be dead now.

I've been seeing messages on the BBS about "Rapid Response Drives" as a "new technology" and that, if you're at Vindicator level, you might have access to them... Not sure what that means, if it's a offer for later to buy them, or something else.

Hey everyone, first post here ;)

I have this script installed and ever since, i experienced a huge fps drop, and one of my friends had the same problem, but he removed RRF again.

I cant just remove it because for me, the functions this script provides are vital for a good game ;)

Could someone please tell me what part in RRF could be causing it and how to fix it?

Its especially bad in sectors with battles (Elenas fortune for example when the argons defend from a small pirate attack) or in prime sectors like argon prime (In some cases there are like 80 novas and a few hundred other ships here and also a lot of RRF ships)

My idea was to install a script to remove all civillian ships to make up for it, but i cant find a proper script for that job.

Oh and also, could someone please tell me how to get up the RRF settings dialog message again after you configured it the first time?

I also have XTM and most of LV's scripts installed.

Could be a couple of things going on in your case...

Elena's Fortune has a lot of rocks and asteroids. I usually try to avoid going there, especially after installing a rather large complex in there, as well.

I've seen tons of M3/M4 type fighters that go along with some capital ships (not sure, ATM, if they go along with RRF caps, or general X3 caps), and this creates extra lag due to all the extra ships in the area.

RRF activities often lead to battles, which means extra animation, shots being fired, missles flying, ships blowing up, etc. What do you think will happen with all of that going on? heh

Having RRF is definitely good to improve your game, but it goes with a cost. Best to have a powerful CPU and lots of RAM to help things along.

Another idea... If your using XTM, you have a whole new level of "extra stuff" going on in your game.

Hi all.

I have two questions. Someone please answer them.

1. Is there a way to reconfigure the settings of RRF? It only gave a message once to configure them upon first run after RRF install.

2.Is there a time limit of Xenon Sector Invasion by Other Race Military?
Because I have accepted that BBS offer around two times and managed to destroy all Xenon cap ships and Stations. But both of the time I got this message

[ external image ]

(One invasion was launched by Split against Xenon in Xenon Grid 1 and second time it was Argon Invading Xenon Core 05).

Argon and Split had couple of casualties few fighter and M6 escorts but their Capital Ships survived the battle. But still mission failed.

I am running X3 Reunion with latest patch and XTM 0.7.3 along with Improved Xenon/Kha'ak Scripts, RRF, Combat Mod II by Ulfius and couple of other scripts.

Many thanks in advance.

Only way I think is to turn RRF off and on again, via the settings in the AL menu. Make sure you wait for the confirmation messages after turning it off, before restarting. They take a little while, just run seta for a min.

There is a time limit for you to arrive in the allied spaceyard sector and then to arrive in the xenon sector, but i dont think thats what your talking about.. Im pretty sure that if you leave the xenon sector at any point while there are still xenon alive, the invasion fails, and thats your problem. Even if logically the Argon or whoever would have won OOS :p

I docked at Allied shipyard as soon as I got the message and jumped to the invaded sector after that. I didn't jumped out of that sector until I got mission failed message. I will try restarting the mission.

Well thats odd then. Because that message is the one you get if you either are too slow to join the invasion, or leave midbattle. Possibly a bug somewhere..

Everything was working fine until now. I get a 100% (not intermittent) game freeze when Race Response M1 jumps out.

I am piloting my Boron Whale in Menelaus' Paradise. A skirmish is happening between Boron Race Response Shark and Xenon Q. Shark is getting Shield Damage and as soon as it activates it's Jump Drive leaving it's fighter escorts behind the game freezes. And I have to force close the game by using Task manager or Restart my computer.

I even tried changing the sector before Shark jump out of the sector but I got a game freeze again.

I am playing X3 Reunion patched to v2.5 with Bonus Pack 3.1.0.7 and XTM 0.7.3. Here are the other scripts/mods that I have installed and are enabled.

There is a small mod for that on the community list. It was the first ever mod for x3, released within a day of the game's release. What with the game's overly early release before it was properly tuned the lag was immense back then (that and GFX cards back then just werent up for the job) and this was the first quick answer to it. It's compatibility with other mods I can't speak for, but it does exactly what it says on the tin: removes all those uneeded civvy ships

Is it a conflict between RRF and XTM that Terran ships who have "Response" name on it jump to sectors where their allies don't attack an enemy nor where the action goes on? (Full story here: http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=212327)

I need some help guys...

Sometimes when Race Response Ships (M1&M2 only) jump away after taking shield damage it crashes/freezes the game. Most of the time it works OK but sometimes it causes crash to desktop or permanent game freeze...

I have set RRF on balanced settings with all other plugins to ON (GetsuFUne ownership changing is disabled though).

Again.

Also Maz, you mentioned Getsu Fune ownership changing, I was wondering about that too; what is the purpose of that? If the player aquires ownership what is the impace of this?

Cheers.

This is an impossible to answer question. There are way too many things to first consider before you can answer this. Why don't you just install it and find out for yourself? It won't break anything.

joelR is right, but I *think* the impact in general isnt much, the problem occurs when RRF causes large numbers of defending ships to jump into a sector, and you get the usual lag in big battles.

Generally the max number of defending ships is something like 5 capships and 10 corvettes.
