I cannot speak for HN, but in defense of mods that do not provide spk, there is a reason for it. Generally, large mods like NH are designed specifically to be run as complete mods. They usually are not intended to be run piecemeal in bits and pieces - so no reason for spk. Ultimately the mod needs to be run as selectable mod. Therefore again, no reason for spk.

In summary (if I may), those interested in extracting individual models from such mods, or inserting additional models to the mod, are really more of less on their own to sort out the issues often encountered doing so.

Creating large mods like NH takes an enormous amount of time and effort. There usually simply isn't time, resources, or interest going beyond providing the mod in the form required by the game to run.

Problem reporting:

I have received a BBS mission to kill a ship (one those vanilla assasination missions) and I got all ISF in the sector after me for attacking the target (an Elephant).

Mission DEtails:

Kill Offender ship (Elephant)
They go from Family NJy to Menelaus Paradise.

I intercept the scorts in Family Njy, all fine, but the Elephant scapes to Ghin's Scape, I chase it, and shoot it down, and while on it I receive a message from ISF about my actions and all ISF in the sector turn red.

I kill the ship and scape the hell out.. :P

PS: I have the hacker chip installed but I havent been scanned, just in case I let you know.

small astoids

i am starting the NH mod which is good but the small asteroids are a pain in the rectum,i have tried using a no mini asteroid mod ,renamed to 10 but i still cannot get rid of the little b*ggers any one no how to do it ,thanks, the old one

Hello ezra :)

Basically, this is not a problem in regards with how the script is coded. You are attacking one of the ship of the main race and ISF is on duty. :D

Don't worry, they are forgotting offences pretty quickly. You can also try to bribe them. If successful, things will become normal again quicker. :wink:

I did brive them, they left me alone, the payout was 300k, I had to pay 200k... didnt get much for the mission.

I thought vanilla assasination mission the targets even though looking like certain race they werent specified as "that same race" in the game, so when you kill them you dont get notoriety loss... at least I thought they were made like that.

That's why I was surprised they were after me.

NOTE:

Did the same type of mission but this time noone scape from the first sector and ISF didnt turn red for attacking the mission target or its escort.

M6s able to use Mk 3 trade commands

I find the NH Mod very well done! It is very refreshing and quite different after playing the XTM Mod for a long time. One question, is it possible to have the M6s in NH use Mk 3 trade commands. I've had no success in trying to implement this.

about the assasination missions, I checked those ships are NEUTRAL to everyone I dont understand why ISF sometimes respond and sometimes they dont.

the raijin sentinel for sale in the pirate shipyard has its stats bugged. It costs half the price of raijin vanguard and it has more shields and near double the speed.

How does a script detect if the NH mod is installed or not?
Does it set some global variable such as XTM sets XTMACTIVE=TRUE ?

Could you do that? I mean it's a 1 line script... =)


Someone found a reproducable crash bug with this mod.

The Thunderbolt laser is apparently broken.
If you query it's laser range (without even using it), X3 does a CTD.

There must be some illegal values in TLaser/TBullets. Probably old test values...
Until you get it to do the very special things you want, could you copy any working laser to that index to fix the CTD? =)

Could anyone translate this MOD into German? I know it is not easy, but lots of German people want to play it. I cannot do that (I think you noticed that I cannot speak English very good :wink:

Thanks for your interest.

Recently, a NH German translation Team formed. I hope we will be able to introduce NH Mod in German. I do not give an ETA, as it is a long and hard job to do. :)

If you mean the Thunderbolt Laser, NH Mod did not make any change to it, and is using the last Tbullet and Tlaser version 2.5 of Egosoft. some changes/additions have been made to other weapons, but not this one.

Well I found an Anvil. I have tried to set the weapons on this ship, and its impossible. The reason I wanted an automated turret script was due to this.

Every time I dock at this ship its resets the weapons load out. Not to put too fine a point on it. It is a pile of dog poo.

I need to be able to control the weapons. Any help with this?

40some minutes to DL the mod, 3 minutes to verify the bug.
Your mod contains bullets #0 - #29. Thundersomething laser references Bullet #30.

Boom. Guaranteed X3 crash.
And no, Egosoft TLaser/TBullets don't do that.
