Asteroid Sar2667 hit on video taken not that far from our home.

A prime minister resigning due to no longer feeling well suited for the role is probably a good sign of a healthy democracy I'd say. Many others in her position would have clung to power even if it kills them.

Finding democracy bit troublesome and need to stack the odds in your favor? Look no further, this Israeli company has you covered:

https://www.timesofisrael.com/expose-un ... elections/

Unfortunately Tal Hanan is far from only one to dabble in these type of things (but perhaps only one daft enough to state so in front of a camera) - there is entire big industry around these things.

I watched a video on Israel the other day there which was showing just how corrupt their current government actually is. They are saying that the courts and justice system is corrupt (sounds familiar) so the government is trying to take direct control of them, just so happens the guy currently in charge is being investigated for several different crimes right now, so taking over the legal system is just a coincidence for them.

Well, egosoft - if someone had written a fiction piece regarding your product - apparently it is enough to fill DCMA claim to steam in order to have game taken down. :gruebel:

Yeah, read about that @rockpapershotgun as well. To call it ridiculous is the least one can do. :(

As a Pole, I'm not sure, if I should feel proud or insulted:

https://www.politico.eu/article/starmer ... -election/
“I’m not comfortable with that. Not comfortable with a trajectory that will soon see Britain overtaken by Poland. Nor am I prepared to accept what the consequences of this failure would mean.”

"That was poor choice of words", Keir Starmer remark when submitting for work permit - Poland, circa 2030, colorized.

Don't worry about it. If they were ever to think a future Labour government was too insulting, Poland could always threaten to pull most of Britain's lorry drivers back. :D

Coronal mass ejections look pretty but may have not-so-nice consequences.

Hmm, this migh explain why suppose healthy lifestyle people still have stroke and blood clotting issues:
https://edition.cnn.com/2023/02/27/heal ... index.html

“Our blood vessels are always under pressure, and we spring leaks, and blood platelets are constantly plugging these holes all the time,” Hazen said.
However, the size of the clot made by platelets depends on the size of the trigger that stimulates the cells, he explained. For example, if the trigger is only 10%, then you only get 10% of a clot.
“But what we’re seeing with erythritol is the platelets become super responsive: A mere 10% stimulant produces 90% to 100% of a clot formation,” Hazen said.
“For people who are at risk for clotting, heart attack and stroke – like people with existing cardiac disease or people with diabetes – I think that there’s sufficient data here to say stay away from erythritol until more studies are done,” Hazen said.

With tensions rising against China the FBI suddenly claims that Covid19 is likely a runnaway virus from a Chinese biolab.
In his first public comments on the FBI’s investigation into the virus’ origins during an interview with Fox News, [Christopher] Wray said that “the FBI has for quite some time now assessed that the origins of the pandemic are most likely a potential lab incident in Wuhan."
So, all of a sudden this isn't fake-news anymore? :gruebel:

Given that other departments of the US Government don't agree, and that the US is currently jostling with China over their respective spheres of influence, I'd take that statement with a big pinch of salt.

Well, that didn't keep CNN from quoting Fox News; or rather Wray. It's from CNNs article I took the quote.

Rupert Murdoch has already testified in court essentially that Faux News just says whatever they think will make them the most money. Regardless, whether Covid originated in a lab, a wet market, or Randy Marsh getting frisky with a pangolin, doesn't really matter. Faux News didn't even acknowledge its existence for months and downplayed any dangers of it when they were finally forced to admit some measure of reality. Are the millions of dead going to come back if the origins can be traced back to a single individual to take the blame? Even if it's true that it came from a lab, does that somehow negate any other of their crack pot conspiracies they've promoted?

Bear in mind, even if they are somehow proven right on this one thing, they claimed this without any supporting evidence. As well, that wasn't the only origin story for Covid they pushed.

Um, you do realise it's not Fox claiming that Covid likely lab-made but the director of the FBI, Christopher Wray? Fox just relayed those assumptions made by an offical.

But it is them that is reporting it, so far it has only been said on Fox News, while others are covering it they are all saying it's only this guy that is saying this, he has no evidence, and he is saying it on Fox News an organization that is currently going through a defamation lawsuit that the evidence for is showing that Fox will knowingly report lies to appease their audience, so anything that comes out of Fox News needs to be taken with a massive grain of salt as it is probably not true.
