Currently I am watching Brooklyn Nine-Nine It has a new season! The first couple of seasons were fire imo but the later ones are mild entertainment. Maybe I am just getting older...

Currently Watching Outer Range, odd suspense drama with Josh Brolin on Prime Video. 3 Episodes in and I quite enjoy it. Watched 1st episode of Strange new Worlds, which was reasonably good. It at least felt like decent sci-fi/Trek, though I will keep my optimism in check until a few more episodes.

Does somebody know a good movie in 4k, HDR and Dolby Atmos? The streaming service doesn't really matter. We want to inaugurate (is that the right word?) the new home cinema of a friend but I don't have anything of that so no idea

Dune, obviously the best movie to properly enjoy that, but be warned, everything else after that will be worse.

After spam advertising on Sky, I decided to give Das Boot a try, and very glad I did. It's a great drama.

Tried episode one of Life after Life on iPlayer, loving the premise, but the application was pretty poor. Felt very repetitive, for obvious reasons!

Trailer looks intriguing. But the series won't be available in Germany until the end of the year.

Stumbled on the not-new French series Missions available on BBC iPlayer (watching it via a French site in original though). It starts a tad slow and you can tell that the first season is kinda low budget. However, I got hooked and am now on season 3.

Babylon 5 and ~6 free Babylon 5 movies on the UK freevee app. No idea why it's not free using the UK prime site. They have dark matter free also.

Dr Strange Multiverse of Madness on Disney Plus. Wasn't bad.

Halo on Paramount +.

Moon Knight and Obiwan on Disney Plus.

Minions 2 is apparently quite funny but it's still in theatres.

Blood and Treasure season 2 is on Paramount+. Have only watched season 1.

Quite a few things coming up.

Sandman - really enjoyed the series overall, first half of the 10 episode season was good, episode 4 being the weakest. 2nd half of the season was a LOT better, really good. Im looking forward to a 2nd season.

Prey - very very good. I think id rate them Predator, Prey, Predator 2, Predators, The Predator. Really enjoyed Prey.

Lightyear - good, not great. No rush to see it again.

The Terminal List - decent... im not recommending it to people i talk entertainment with, but if asked i would say its not bad.

Re-watching The Expanse now, my GF hasn't seen it, and it's been a while since I watched the whole thing through again. If you've never given The Expanse a shot, I'd recommend it, great show. Also, it's finished, 6 seasons, all done. So no waiting around for additional seasons.

haha, that's fair, i'd love more. But I'm also happy with a fully finished show that wasn't wrapped up super quick and very poorly.

I think Amazon would be crazy not to dip it's fingers into that universe again though.

Finally finished re-watching Vikings on Prime. Had previously stalled at the beginning of the penultimate series (6, part 1) but was told that it got a lot better after that. Not remotely true, imho. Some great episodes earlier on but suffice it to say that any future re-watch will stop around season 3.

Sandman on Netflix - so far so good (up to ep5, I haven't read it).

House of the Dragon - also ok so far.

Just on the Expanse, is it still true that Amazon etc are still not selling BD of seasons 4 onwards for Region 2 (such as the UK) but that the disks are locked to Region 1 (eg USA)? I would be keen here in the UK to complete my collection from after seasons 1-3 but I still see locked disk horror stories in the 1 star product reviews for seasons 4-6.

The Expanse is good proper sci-fi , but it is finished (although there are rumours of more to come) unlike a lot of series that were cancelled in mid arc. It seems to me that most things I like get cancelled and the bobbins series go on and on......
