Coincidence that it's about 5 quid on steam for the Homeworld Remastered collection? For this weekend only apparently.

Nice, looking forward to play it.

Concerning the remastered edition: I was a tad disappointed that they did not incorporate the Raider's Retreat into the main mission (yes. you can play it but only seperately).

Ho yeah

I hope they have proper funding for it, Deserts of Kharak was good imho but way too short plus it proves Blackbird can do land and space.

I'll definitely get it, not sure I'll back it yet that feels like a Gearbox business play to me.

Looking forward ro it. Just hope they don't dumb it down too much in order to appeal to younger audiences.

New trailer which shows quite some ship designs "in action" :)

As a homeworld psycho-fan I'm hyped, but I can't help to have some concerns looking at available trailer footage:

- all the gameplay we see are like 0.5 second snippets - this is usually done to mask how bad or uncompleted the game is.
- the "cartoon/painting" shader looks artistic, but looking through it makes that graphic is not so amazing upgrade, even comparing to Homeworld Remaster.
- 99% ship footage is what seems to be Higaran/S'Jet ships and posibly only one or two ships that seems "other side". This indicate that things are still unfinished.
- ship models doesn't seem to be so amazing, somehow they look lower poly than Homeworld Remaster:

New Adagio for Strings is dope!

Last, but not least - thank God it's not an Epic exclusive.

This. I wasn't a big fan of Homeworld (nothing wrong with it I'm sure, I'm just not keen on RTS games) but the one thing I really liked was the old school Chris Foss-ish art style. Moving away from that would be a real shame.

I'm sure its mostly rose tinted nostalgia but I got goose bumps all during the trailer. Only thing "missing" is the epic voice from the cutscene voice over (no clue who the actor is). Its one of my all-time favourite game and not just cause its an RTS, but because it has that "what if" space journey, which is what I personally crave in scifi stuffs.

2022 is shaping to be a great space game year.

2022 seems to be chalk full of 4X strategy and RTS.
Even if only 1 out 10 will be a hit, this will be a good year.

Thank God developers finally realized there are games outside Battle Royale and MP PvE like yet-another zombie game.

Looking forward to it as an old Homeworld fan but I can't say I like the ship designs so far. While they look "Homeworld" to me, they seem as if they took the old HW1 designs and pressed them flat.

But hey, they still got a year to change my mind :)

I am hyped since the Fig campaign. I can't wait!
Humans are deuterostomes, which means that when they develop in the womb the first opening they develop is the anus.
This means that at one point you were nothing but an asshole.

Some people never develop beyond this stage.
