Vodka would curb their anger securely.
Sadly, you might be right - every time the things go sour, vodka sales and production (goverment backed) skyrocket.

Still, masses of drunk people case a whole lot of different problems, quite destructive at societal level.

The Soviet invasion of Afghanistan lasted about ten years, perhaps this war will be decided before 2032?
Except that Ukraine war cause triple the losses in one-fifth amount of time.
No matter how many tricks Russia have in their sleves, they have 2-3 years at max to continue - too many things break beyond that timeline to sustain this war.

Russia lost 12 planes in 11 days? Have Ukrainians received a better radar or something? Or those F-16s?

Time is ticking for Russia, the further it goes the worse it'll get. And the end is not that far.

I think last year I was giving 2024, lets see if I am right. For me to be right, we need something drammatic though.

Hey Fiksal, maybe as native russian speaker can you find english translation for the russian source video of this?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5hShayyShZg
I dont see english subtitles anywhere either.

Otherwise, their normal videos come with auto generated Russian captions, that can be Auto translated to English [1]

Looks okay-ish when I tested it.

[1] For those that dont know:
- select CC
- select 'gear'
- subtitles
- auto translate, English

Russia's still sending meat waves but they are most likely Russians vs other people these days.

Russia might have lost 15 aircraft in approx 2 weeks.

Lack of resources for support increasing Ukraine's loss of equipment.

Republicans still blocking aid.

Rumours - The patrol ship Sergei Kotov might have been hit again.

Rumours - Explosion around the Kerch bridge again just recently.

NATO: Who is (and isn't) paying their way?
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uuca3VjSwmg

Iceland
Luxemburg
Belgium
Spain
Italy
Canada

Iceland doesn't have any armed forces.
Luxemburg is a micro state.
Belgium is in political gridlock for decades and potentially splittting/falling apart in future.
Spain and Italy are in financial troubles since 2008.

...so the only true freeloader is Canada.

It's worse than that. Security checks to get into the military can take years. There's issues with recruitment and pay. The current government doesn't want to spend money on defence. Canada's Ukraine aid packages are also much smaller than they should be. Should be a minimum of 6b USD per year (~8.15b Cad). Canada also has issues with Russia taking territory in the Arctic from Canada. The failure of Canada to insist on military action helped pave the way for the invasion of Ukraine. Canada took a soft stand.

Most of the countries that spend money on NATO are on the Russian border regions.

NATO should expand to Asia and other areas. Then there might be peace again.

one more explosion a day ago

Ukraine is busy!

https://tvrain.tv/news/na-neftebaze-v-b ... ar-555756/
Governor of the Belgorod region Vyacheslav Gladkov announced an “emergency incident” in the Gubkinsky urban district,

“After the explosion, a fire was recorded at an infrastructure facility. There were no injuries,” Gladkov said in a statement.

Telegram channels Shot, Mash and “112” report an attack on the Belgorodnefteprodukt oil depot in the village of Dolgoye. Mash writes that the impact occurred at 8:50 am. According to Mash, two tanks caught fire after an attack by a Ukrainian drone. According to information from “112” - one.

Looks like the tables are yet again turning:

Czechia secret ammution program is gaining traction and more countries throwing financing for it.
In the same time, satelite image confirms radical drop in ammo shipments from North Korea to Russia both via land and sea.

Not so far-fetched. If/when Russia implodes again (like the Soviet Union did) Chechnya and Dagestan might be the first breakaway regions. If Russia tries to stop them I expect both of them to start shooting. Look how much trouble Russia had in Chechnya, and they were just dealing with a separatist movement instead of the whole region.

Det är mycket, mycket bra. Även att DeepL kan tala svenska :D

It was a long, rocky road, but in the end it's the arrival that counts. :)

Lot's of good points & reminders in Bidens State of the Union speech 2024
  • Putin has to be stopped
  • Putin doesn't stop in Ukraine if not stopped
  • Ukraine can stop Putins army [if given military supplies]
  • Democracies all over the globe are under attack and have to defend themselves [and help eachother]
IMHO it's a good thing to repeatedly issue wake-up calls to those who are still hoping that russia-situation is ending soon.

Gotta give kudos to Biden.

Also, recently I've started to like Macron more.

https://ru.usembassy.gov/security-alert ... -48-hours/
The Embassy is monitoring reports that extremists have imminent plans to target large gatherings in Moscow, to include concerts, and U.S. citizens should be advised to avoid large gatherings over the next 48 hours.

Actions to Take:

Avoid crowds.
Monitor local media for updates.
Be aware of your surroundings.
So what's coming in next 48 hours

Yep - it feels weird to see France found it's balls and be more pro-active.
I hope he'll keep the streak in internal matters as well, coz having Le Pen in 2027 might be problematic.
Dunno who could be Macron successor to stand against her.

Looks like Russia is on a fast path to aggrevate even friendly countries:

Guess in only a few years it will be globally know that you have to be mentally defficient to trust Russia in any way.
