Egosoft notification - Notification set on a thread/forum used by a spammer.

I got weird information or advertisiment inside notification from egosoft forums .
I got email like this copy pasting bellow...

could it be that it was a spam post in the forum by that name that was then deleted by mods?

That's the email you receive if you subscribe to notifications for a thread or forum. A spammer by that name recently managed to create a number of threads on the forum, but they were quickly banned and their threads deleted. The emails you received are notifying you of their posts, because you requested that in your forum profile.

You can change your general notification settings by going to your forum profile and clicking on the Board Preferences tab, then on the Edit notifications options section, and ticking/unticking options there. To unsubscribe from getting notifications about new posts in that specific forum, go to the bottom of that forum's index page and click on "Unsubscribe forum".
