Hi All,
Just so you know I'm still working on the new V5 update, here's a teaser for one of the new features...
This is a little program that will come with the V5 scripts that lets you configure some options prior to the game launching...
Here's a screenshot:
http://www.tecsg.co.uk/scs/V5Config.png
This allows you to (for example) turn off high-lighting the sectors the new bonus ships are created in, for those who want to have to find the ships manually!
Also the 'Super Start' option recreates a game start I got once that had some really cool bonus ships relatively close to the starting position for the Humble Merchant Start (Argon Prime)
I'll be asking for Beta testers soon, but the V5 scripts are currently only available in English though due to massive re-writes!

Will this wonder work on version 3.4 / 3.3 TC/AP?
When will version 5 be released? If still in development...

Hi kazuya112,
I am still working on the scripts, however due to things like covid and several deaths in the family things are somewhat off track at the minute.
A bunch of new commands (there's about 70 now I think) and features have been added and I'm concentrating more on getting them and bug-fixes sorted rather than trying to support a load of other mods like LU as many of the other authors I contacted for information didn't bother to respond.
I will post when things are nearing completion, but I may (as a teaser) post a list of all the commands and features soon!
@alexalsp,
These scripts will work with all versions/variants of X3TC, AP and FL and many of the larger mods too!

SCS link on first page sends you to another site then you click for AP/TC and the DL link doesn't work. it tries to but never finishes. I tried everything this week to set it up on my game again somehow got one and when I bought it for 4.5 mil...it says something like salvage claim software MK1 or something like that. tried it on a frigate that was fighting and had no shields and it told me I didn't have SCS installed.
ok went back and checked didn't have the parser library in and the software I have is Salvage Claim Software from 2010...lol the hacking software wants Salvage Override Software and the old one I have doesn't have it. everything points to SCS and needs that so the older version I found doesnt count now.

Hi,
Did you download the V4.11 version from the direct link at the bottom of the first post? The latest (posted) SCS version is from 2012 and the current version (5.02) is still being worked upon.
The SCS scripts don't require any other scripts/mods such as the parser scripts. Also the SCS scripts aren't used against another ship unless it has been abandoned (or you are cheating!)
The System Override Software (if that is what you meant) is completely different and is for taking over control of an NPC ship though.

yes, I know but to use the hacking software it needs to be in there. also if you try to use bailing addon scs has to be there as well. I used it in the past for disabled ships. so I didn't need to get out to claim them. I tried getting scs with the 'here' link it takes me to another page and a link for either zip or spk, hit either one and it does nothing so its not working.

I'm trying to build a custom game with AP...but the bailing addon doesn't seem to be around anymore. then bad a.. marines is fine, thats one, and hacker software for attacking ships seems to be working too. but the SCS links are down and without it you cant cap bigger ships. in my old game I used bailing , set to absolute minimums so not to be too greedy, then marines then hacking and salvage claim to claim ships without getting out.the only salvage claim I found so far that's still dlable is salvage claim software, and in AP it loads into your cargo bay when you buy it....lol remembered it was free once so dropped it in space and scooped it up, back to cargo again. went into scripts and found setup and hit R to run it on my ship, and it's still in cargo...ahaahahh.

I tried the links and they worked for me, maybe you have something blocking the downloads?
Try this direct link for V4.11 and let me know:
LINK
I may have a copy of the NPC Bailing scripts somewhere if you can' t find one...
The latest version of the SCS software now has nearly 100 salvage commands, including things like
Area Salvage that can automatically salvage up to 13 sectors in one go!
Also the Mobile Pirate Warehouse offers Salvaging Services which can also cover Xenon Sectors.

OK figured it out and got the dl...chrome refused to dl it but windows fought me tooth and nail but I demanded at each page and they finally left it go. so maybe now can use hacker software in AP and claim ships in TC, will see.

you'll love this it's hysterical! got the Salvage Command Suite in game both Tc and AP, in AP want to try hacking some terran ships during battles. in TC want it for claiming disabled ships. so...went and checked in AP it's 4.5 million credits but I was up for it sow enmt to work and actually got a few million from the stock exchange and bought my software. checked and it showed I bought one and jumped back to the war zone to try it out. found a battle going on and have the hacking software (MW) I think?? and got within 2.5 miles of a frigate with no shields and rapidly losing hull. hit the hack button after targeting it got an error saying SALVAGE CLAIM SOFTWARE NOT INSTALLED. what?? stopped dead and checked, the software is in my inventory as cargo... after spending 4.5 million for it. went and changed the name to Thereshallbewings, and found the set up and ran it short and sweet. checked again...salvage command suite is cargo...lol when I ran the set up it didn't move to software but stayed in cargo. will try again just in case but this looks bad.even restarted the game with the new software in it.

OK found out why, in AP in the teladi equipment dock its listed as Salvage Claim Software and it in the listing under 'Goods' not equipment or software, so for 4.5 million you get something to haul around and sell not use on your ship. went into script editor and found the set up and clicked R and chose my ship and then left. it's still in inventory and it doesn't run. so for AP at least it doesn't seem to run anymore. oh and by the way the link I used to get the SCS is 4.07 I think.

being in the cargo bay shouldn't actually matter.
Most equipment added by scripts will only show in cargo, as there is only a limited number of equipment slots available (and no way to add more)
only FL allows you to add new equipment, not TC or AP

Thanks Cycrow!
If you target the frigate and go to the SCS menu, the second or third option (depending on what ship type you are in) should say "Claim 'Frigate' (must be within XX Km)" and that depends on the range of the scanner you have installed. You can also select the "Claim all ships in Sector" command to fly to and claim all abandoned ships.

yes it works that way in TC but was trying to use the hacking software while in battle. used it many times before in the same game years ago but it wont admit that scs is on board, or that it can be seen every time I try it with the transporter and computer components on board it just says that scs is not installed. in this case Salvage Claim Software

Go in to the SCS menu and at the bottom of the commands select "Troubleshooting and Cheats". Then change the option "SCS software required to use SCS commands" to "No". This will allow you to use the SCS command without the SCS Software being installed.
Let me know if that works.

OK checked everything, in AP with scs in using the spk link it sees it on the script editor the equipment dock sells it, tis in the cargo box but there's no configuring hotlink mentioning it at all. go through the ships info etc checking each one and there is no scs link at all. so no scs setup link or list to use. it's like it just disappears on AP even though it can be seen in cargo.thinking I'll give up on this one it truly makes no sense.
