JackyDawg there seems to be a conflict in XRM with another mod. Here is a link to their FAQ

I have this mod running with XRM with no problems.

But these problems started after I installed this mod, I installed no other new mods.

Doing a fresh reinstall anyway though, then see I'll what happens

You are installing them as fake patches? Make sure of your load order. Mine as follows:

05 -> TC plots for AP
06 -> XRM part 1
07 -> XRM part 2
08 -> XRM Backgrounds
09 -> XRM docking ware size for codea
10 -> Detector for XRM (Does need some editing in sound files for it to work as it was meant)

And after all that this mod, just copy and paste

I second that, any news on this mod? Is it dead? Did anyone contact MutantDwarf?

Unlikely, as both mods make changes to the map file. You could check the lost colony mod topic, whether someone posted something with regards to making both mods compatible already.

Is there any bugs I need to watch out for if I use the latest XRM/TCAP?

I can't recommend you use this.
7027-L044.xml is broken.
It crashes X3 editor 2. It also causes naming issues ingame.

Install-Messages at fresh start ok, but can't start plot

Post by FredsterLu » Mon, 6. Apr 15, 15:32

Hi there,

I installed this mod by copying the files from the rar in the gamefolder and started X3AP XRM. Started a new game as Humble Merchant and got the two messages for successfully having installed xrm and this mod.

Played a while and tried to start the Argon Plot. Travelled to Argon sector M148 but nothing happened. I had the Argon rank Federation Guardian and Terran Citizen (0%). That should suffice as starting requirements.

So I searched this thread and found (I missed that before) that the Plots from TC have to be played first. Is that right?

So I travelled to Omicron Lyrae to start the terran plot, but still - nothing happened.

What SHOULD bethe first available plot after having successfully installed that mod on a X3AP XRM?

In this thread there are tipps concerning the order of the mods. But that only would apply if the files to copy woult be *.cat and *.dat, right?
In the rar from the first post, there are just xml-files that just need to be copied, or not?

Greetings
Fredster

EDIT: Ok, shame on me. I just installed this compatibility patch, not havin installed the Dillpickle-MOD.
Let's see if it works now.
So, is there a way how to check as early in the game as possible if the plots are available? As seen, I got both the messages at game start even without having installed the mod, just the compatibility-patch.

I'd recommend *not* using this mod at this point in time unless you're going to use it with the versions of the TC:AP and XRM mods that it was build for - compatibility with anything else was never assured, and it looks like it didn't pull over.

I haven't had time to update this mod for the current versions of either TC:AP or XRM and it's been long enough now that it'd take quite a while to do so - plus, I don't even have X3 installed on this computer and am the opposite of 'not busy' in real life and have been ever since I started my new job shortly after this was released; I just don't have time to re-learn X3 modding and maintain this. What's simple when you're unemployed is not so much when you're working all the time.

So... yeah. Sorry about that. If anyone wants to use this as a basis for creating a new compatibility patch between XRM and TC:AP, I'd be fine with it.

Apologies for the necro, but I was wondering if anyone still has a copy of the latest version of this mod. I would like to make an attempt at updating to the current versions of things, but the link here is broken.

OK, I have finished my experimental (save often!) update of XRM-TCAP for the latest versions of AP and TCAP. Make sure to grab both files linked at my signature! Please let me know if you find any issues.

@Mythrantar - Nice work on the update! Keen as to try it out.

Question - At this point, does XRM-TCAP work with IEX? There are conflicting statements in this thread. If it does, is the cat/dat install order the following?

X3 Terran Conflict/addon folder/

01-04 EGOSOFT default files
05 IE
06 IEX
07 XRM (1)
08 XRM (2)
09 XRM (3)
10 TCAP
11 XRM-TCAP
12 XRMi-TCAP - IEX compatibility patch downloaded at http://www.mediafire.com/file/q6q5qxd77 ... _v0.96.rar discussed at https://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php ... sc&start=0 under "XRM : Terran Conflict Plots for Albion Prelude (XRMi-TCAP)"
