While the Centaur Sentinel does have a nice number of turrets, it's weapon recharge rate is terrible for a 24 gun ship. Anyone using it will find out quickly that they can't fire for too long before running out of power. Mod MSP is fully compatible with the XRM.
Ship Mercury is not available at the shipyard in Argon Prime. You can buy it in civilian shipyards (Antigone Memorial, Red Light).

Because both possess the largest number of ships M6, the number of turrets. And these are very useful for defense against missiles and fighters.
In either case, I'd still go for a Hyperion. Can dock 2 fighters instead of just one, has better speed than either of the other 2, and also has plenty of turrets. In the right hands (nearly anyone's...) the Hyperion is quite deadly.
