Posting this here since I'm unsure if it differs from vanilla or not, but is it normal that Teladi Orbital shipyards require Terran resources (MRE, Water, Hull plating...) ? It's the first time I use a HQ and everytime I looked it up on the internet they weren't in the list of resources required, except for the Terran HQ.
Am I doing something wrong? Because I'm at war with the Terran and it wouldn't be possible for me to gain enough notoriety with them to buy this kind of factory.

If you are not getting decent performance with a reasonably specced system, then something is not right. You would be better served trying to identify the source of the problem rather than start hacking away at the mod - doing so can cause more problems than it solves, including causing incompatibility issues with future xrm releases.

Tried again with a Paladin, same deal (except it asks for more resources).
Also I don't have access to the dock ware manager that I've seen mentionned several times. There are only "report inbound ships" and "automatic money transfer to player".

Paul, I think the problem is AP. In tc, I still have around 30~40 fps average after a 3 in game days save. However in ap, I can get 40~50fps in a fresh start. It some how gets slower as time goes by. Right now, in my 2nd game, day1-11hours, I'm getting around 20~35 fps idle and 15~20 in combat.
But well, I will try to find the source of problem.

This sounds like some scripts may be stacking. I'd check your script list to see if their are duplicates.Spectre01 wrote:Paul, I think the problem is AP. does anyone know how how to install an uninstall XRM so I can play both vanilla an mod without having to do a full reinstall of the game every time. it gets really annoying to re download 20 gig every time I want to change...

You can make as many copies of the game folder as you like.
One copy can be for XRM. Another copy can be for other scripts/mods, or a vanilla game, or whatever you like.
Use the No-Steam .exe in your copied folder: Bonus Material (AP)

yer I took your advice an went back to vanilla, though I do like the XRM. But now I had to totally delete all the X games folders an do a full reinstall
.... 20 g downloads, an jsut hope my backed up save games work lol

The problem is with whatever mission director script spawns the mapping service ships. For some reason it is failing to call ATF ships correctly. I have double checked the XRM ATF entries in the director files that control ship spawning and I've never discovered what the problem is and all other director scripts work just fine. I don't really want to start going through the vanilla mission scripts to work out exactly what the problem is. There will only ever be one of these in the universe - I suggest you just ignore it.

Regarding my problem with orbital shipyards, I did a quick test with a terran orbital headquarters I spawned using the SE, and the basic terran ships only required Terran resources (aside from quantum tubes and other indispensable resources). So either it's only the non-Terran ships that are affected, or it's the Teladi orbital shipyard which requires different resources (if that's even possible).
