With the high missile fire chance the XRM AI ships seem to have, I have on a few occasions been LAUNCHED ~20km across a sector by repeated missile splashes off of another ship. I'd say there's a light missile whose splash radius is set too high, as it doesn't do much actual damage?
Do you have LIFE installed ?
There are shockwaves that have this effect.
First of all love XRM and all the great stuff it adds to the game. Really impressive work.
Noticed a bug though.. The ship named "Blackbird" has no textures. It is invisible all except for the guns. So far all other ships I have tried look fine.
Not that big of a deal to me because otherwise as I said I am loving this mod!
I'm referring to Terran Conflict (sorry should have been more specific) and it's updated to 3.2
But yeah if it's a vanilla ship than you are right, should have nothing to do with XRM. Oh well.. i'm not going to worry about it unless I see problems with other ships as well.
Maybe it's because I am previewing ships with Cycrows cheat plugin by spawning them and that ship is in the list but is an AP ship and that's why it has no textures in TC even though I can still spawn it.
Well theres your problem. The Blackbird is an AP only ship. Somehow youve managed to load the AP Tships into TC... If the XRM is installed with no user editing, its impossible to spawn the Blackbird in TC - the entry shouldn't even exist - the xrm has two distinct tships for each game.
Aven Valkyr wrote:OK maybe I can help you. I have taken the liberty of looking at the instructions for your AP install. It seems the AP root folder is inside the TC root folder. the root folder for AP is "addons". So here is what your folder structure should look like (and the actions needed to be taken):
- FOLDER [soundtrack] (this is in the TC root folder) - copy/merge
EDIT: I believe as well that any new mod you install for use with XRM that you want to have working for AP should go in the addons folder. Any mod you want to have work with TC would go into the main root folder for the game (the TC folder). "addons" is the ROOT folder for AP. So any mod you are trying to install for AP and they say "just copy the cat/dat files into your TC root directory", that would be your signal to put the files in the addons folder instead Hope this clarifies things for you. Not having the hotkey functions is definitely an install issue and not a mod related issue
EDIT 2: Also, in part 2 of the download, you will see a folder called "scripts TC". you are NOT to copy this folder over for the install of XRM into AP. If you have, you should delete it out of your addons folder.
I've made an installer for XRM a while ago which should take care of these problems:
Ok so after starting a new game with XRM and having MARs, CODEA, OK Trader with Basic Salary installed the Seizwell stock market seem very static....
Is there any reason for this? In vanilla the stock market was very dynamic and you really felt like you were earning money and increasing recondition in a good way.
No idea. The stock market is something I've never looked at. Since there isn't a real economy, in my mind I can't see how there can be a stock market... Anyway, the xrm doesn't alter it in any way and I've had no complaints before.
Thanks Paul, I believe that the stocks are influenced by the goods in that sector thus making them adjust back and fourth.
Could it be that your re balance mod has made things a little more stable thus affecting the stocks in the same way. Less traders moving goods around etc?
Many of the scripts in the bonus pack are out of date. I recommend you download the stand alone, up to date versions of each script from this forum rather than the bonus pack.
The bonus pack is simply a collection of scripts taken from this forum. But it doesn't get updated when the script authors release updates for the originals, so its better to get the originals and benefit from all the new features/bug fixes that the script authors include in their updates. The original threads for each script can be found in the main library.
