Welcome!
I'm a Steam user too. You can copy your entire X3AP install directory to a new location and run it with the Steam-free EXE downloadable from this website. Then you can let Steam put TC where it likes.
When playing with very modded games like XRM+other scripts it can help to have a spare, clean install saved somewhere too as it simplifies reinstalling to avoid re-downloading.
The TC corporation and treasure hunt plots are available in AP XRM in case that's of interest. There's a hub plot but off the top of my head, I cannot remember if it's the same one as you mention or not.

Well my problem was that the Hub Plot is so insanely huge, and I'm close to completing it on my old, vanilla save. I don't feel much for needing to redo it from scratch (I probably still will if I can, but I just want to finish it first).

A new player to x and xrm
Hi I've been playing around 1 week now and I'm getting along ok slow but ok I live the mod I played vanilla to do argon plot then started new game with xrm mainly due to ships you add haha
I have a few questions
I bought a mercury tank it only has a L cargo hold were can I find the superfrieghter I am in argon prime currently
Can I donate anywhere for your work as I feel you provided me with a expansion not a mod
Will you be adding more ships
I suck at combat I can't hit a barn door in the new speedy discovery I'm a little better in nova vanguard but I rely on missiles silkworms mainly any tips for more automated targeting
A lot of people mention bailing and capping is this possible for every ship I see? And is the m0 destroyer in xrm and cappable ?
My satellites keep disappearing in sectors advanced sats is this normal or am I being a noob ?
I built 2 stations in ringo moon using automated service it layed them on top of each other making targeting them difficult can I move on or sell one and can I make a complex via system I used to buy these ? I don't see complex for sale
And finally were do I start plots I'm kinda lost I'm merchant start i got around 10 mil in bank and I'm accepted advisor with argon so far all I have got is a message about a hijacked ship and to contact argon if is spot it was a centaur I believe just want a aim or mission to focus on haha
Sorry for all questions bad punctuation spelling mistakes and so on lol it's 1 am and I've been on xrm 18 hours now haha

Being someone new what is and does the Hull Multiplication Packs actually do and impact?
Also besides the Cockpit Pack I might install not sure if it upgrades the looks and the Backgrounds Pack. Is there others I should install? I hear the Mars one is worth while.
Anyways yeah just tell me what you guys think worth in addons for a new player. I want to keep running the same save for a long time and do a Let's Play series based on it. Suggestions are welcomed!

Hull pck gives ships more hp for longer combat doesn't alter size or anything
Cockpit pack is nice but I found vanilla veiw better especially in xrm were danger is around every asteroid you don't want to add blind spots
Background pack requires you to run at 70% field of veiw more zoomed and effects performance it's not needed most the changes I saw are very minimal just reduced fog in high ammonia zones I personally liked the fog added immersion
I ain't tried mars yet
On page 1 there is a list of mods compatible start there if ya looking for more but xrm adds a lot and if you use known compatible mods you should not hit any snags

ship Quasar (Argon M3) has 3 turrets, one of them for missiles. How to use this one? It can be loaded with 4 missiles, is it possible to launch them at once? If yes, how?

Humble Merchant starts in Argon core sectors so it's pretty easy. Ore Belt (south) and Herron's Nebula (north) are always good places to stock up on resources. Put a few satelites when you have the money in 9 main sectors of argon space, so you can monitor prices everywhere.
Jumpdrives are really expensive in XRM (roughly 3 million) plus I think you have to travel quite far from your start to get one (got my first one in Legend's Home).
Also try to get a new ship and equip your Mercury with Trade Software MK3. They sell them in Teladi space. Set up a Sector trader from the command -> trade menu and put them in a safe sector with lots of resources (again Ore Belt and Heron's Nebula).
Well to sum it up
-Buy at high quantity, sell at low
-Put satelites in 9 core argon sectors
-If amassed a few creditsss, buy a new ship (whichever you like, you're going to fly it)
-Set old ship up as sector trader
-Start exploring universe while he makes money for you

No, in AP only the Treasure Hunt and Corporation plots are available from TC. See paulwheeler's explanation on the first page:
There was a compatibility patch for the "TC plots in AP" mod. Can you sugest some other mod for complexes? I mean is there a mod out there compatible with XRM that can improve the FPS when in sectors with big complexes?

Have you tried Hephaistos Corp. Station Building Service from the bonus pack (see my sig for latest version)? Cost per item is a bit higher but it is very convenient and helps when IS.unknown1 wrote: Can you sugest some other mod for complexes? It makes complexes very compact so they will be less-often seen IS and so you'd get less moments of lag when associated with looking at them.

Hi there ! First, I'd like to thank you Paul for your mod.
Now, I've found a bug in the Corporation Troubles Plot. When you are asked to dock with a TL to a shipyard in order to get your reward, the game chooses randomly the shipyard. In my game, it chose the PAR Shipyard in Bright Profit, meaning that I couldn't get my Polacca to dock there and finish the plot.
I used the Cheat Package to get it, but it's an issue that shouldn't be hard to solve, like changing the PAR Shipyard models in TFactories.
