In my game, the Terran sectors are crazy healthy and active. Part of this is due to my traders being pretty active in the area, but there are some fantastic profit opportunities by building closed-loop complexes, supplying to terran sectors and the rest of the universe. So far, my L and XL factories for Poltergeist Missiles, Adv Sats, 1 and 5 MJ shields, etc. can't keep up with the demand.

Hey guys,
if someone can confirm this: I have found a bug in my game. I am not sure if its XRM or some other script. Let me explain.
I was looking for an Discoverer Explorer. If I target the shipyard and bring up the Info page 'u' I get a price of about 400,000cr ..
If I trade with the station "d" and try to buy I get a price of 1.5 MIL !
can someone check this??

Yup, it's 242k info page / 1.691 kk on trade screen. Info page shows price of ships' hulls, without additional equipment (in this case Military Scanner and Explorer Software).
I don't think that it's a mod bug, more likely how info page works in X3. I can't confirm if it's the same in vanilla because I've been *modified* since forever, though.

I am running a CLS MK2 to consolidate some goods (like my laser towers and microchips for defense deployment, plus excess energy cells) onto my TL, but otherwise I opened my complexes to NPC traders, and they buy everything I produce as quick as it becomes available.adb0899 wrote:that's great to hear, with that kindof demand, do you every really worry about using frieghters, or does the ai do that for you?
Edit: i can't seem to be able to hire a Tl for trasporting a station in terran space.
I know I have seen Terran TLs available for hire, but I bought my Polacca fairly early on and never really dealt with hiring one.

Finally got all the mods I wanted working in my game. Shoe horned Improved Races in there as well, it's working but DAM it adds a ton of ships. All of my Sectors are patrolled by fleets of 100s of ships, Pirates invade with M1's and stuff. Every sector is a WAR ZONE it seems lol. So I'm guessing the Extra ships added by XRM are being multiplied by IR.
So does anyone who uses both XRM and IR have advice on what to set IR too so you get a bit more realistic game and not every sector is a non-stop battle between massive fleets?

I'm honestly having trouble finding any terran TL's to hire still. can i not hire any?
also I noticed so capital ships and stuff load up TP's and stuff, how do i know when a certain ship can have another dock it. because all it states is the number of hangers
ex can a terran polaca load up a katana or baldric/baldric superfreighter?

As for docking capability, bigger ships usually have at least 1-2 slots for TS or M6 ships and the rest for fighters. In case of XRM ships such info is usually included in their description. The best ships in terms of universal docking capabilities are Goner Ozias (12x TM/M6/TS/TP/M8/fighters) or Teladi Tern (6x M6/TP/TS/M8/fighters plus 12x fighters). Pirate Tern has 2 more fighter docks, as far as I remember.
If you're looking for something to carry bigger ships- Tepukei and Aran both can dock 1 capital class ship.
Polacca can only carry TS, no M6 unfortunately. Mobile Mining Base-Ship can dock TS or M6.
As for NPC TL's- you have to keep looking. Sometimes they are idling far from the center of the sector, so either network of Adv. Satelites or ship with Military Scanner is recommended to find them.

Thats because the first price is the base ship price, the higher price is the ship + its equipment (in the explorers case, a military scanner).RayF wrote:Hey guys,
