Hi. I have 3 questions :-)
- I play Terran and I try to find Advanced Satellites in their space - so far without luck. Am I just unlucky or there are not available in their territory? What is the closest friendly place to buy them or what are my alternatives?

- I am also using Improved races. Can you recommend me which features of IR are compatible and good with XRM?
- Is XRM compatible with Commercial Agent? I've just upgraded it to latest version and it overwrite some files:

XRM is compatible with the official Bonus Pack and so with the Commercial Agents script. Are you trying to install a newer version of the CAG script over the Bonus Pack?

Hey all I am getting a pretty excessive amount of crashes, though generally not from the same thing twice. Typically Docking, dying (ha!), jumping or any other transitional change will start it, and it is often.

Installed as follows: (with AP and o/c in addon folder minus Soundtrack with is in the TC main folder)

01-04 cat/dat - AP native

05,06,07 cat/dat - XRM install

08 cat/dat - Walls for bounce

Scripts - All of the CODEA scripts and it's dependencies, MARs (with XRM data)

Thats it. Not sure what I messed up, will post a picture if that helps and there is someone out there!

I can't specifically remember if this happened with the CAG scripts on my install, but when I encountered such problems I usually overwrote the files and all worked fine with XRM. I wouldn't have done this without a backup, of course.

This is also a great advantage of XRM compared to LU: XRM internally isn't so different from AP vanilla than LU which results in a general good script compatibility.

I just made my game more smooth. Its almost as smooth as vanilla. What I didnt realize is that it made difference between it running off thumb drive and a hard drive.

Next question, is it possible to install Saturn Hub in XRM? Or something like it? That will house 100s of stations but not decrease your FPS?

I haven't tried the Saturn Hub script, instead I use the Complex Cleaner script. Don't be afraid of the description on the thread - essentially what you have to do is build your stations (I recommend using the Hephaistos station building service), be in the sector with all your stations you want to merge, have a Tractor Beam in your ship, start the Complex Cleaner with your ship's console and use crunch. It will compress all your stations to one big one in space (good for the FPS) which contains your stations in a more efficient way.

An example: I let Hephaistos deliver 140 stations for a big self-sustaining complex consisting of SPP, Crystal Fabs, Food factories and tech goods. Of course, the performance in this sector is horrible now. After a crunch, there is only the module container in space for the game to render (and the performance returns to normal) which consists of about 12 stations in my example. Now you all have to do is connect these 12 stations with Complex Construction Kits and you're finished.

Advanced satellites can be bought within Terran space in ATF Forseti (AGI Task Force Intelligence Service) and in Dark Space Cluster (Dark Space Headquarters).

About IR: Right, I gave some thoughts of it in the IR thread. You may also want to avoid enabling the fighter response to sector intruders in IR, because I suspect this to slow down the performance of my game - fighters in XRM can't jump away because they aren't able to use jump drives. I've seen IR's response fighters remaining in sectors motionless after a threat was gone, so I suspect IR relies on the jumping ability - but this is only my theory. You may prove it wrong. :)

Hey those satellites are really there! You are awesome. Again! :-D

I want space to by dynamic, use new features from XRM and by IR to make races more aggressive, take over sectors, assault neighbors etc.
I have disabled: Improve Kha'ak, Xenon, Pirates and Yaki.
I have also disabled everything in "more option": Player Ship construction, Kha'ak Sector anti spawn, True relations (this one should be good to enable right?), Anti-job filter, Ship response and Collateral dmg.
And in universe option I have disabled: Debug mode, Fighter response, Capital Ships response, Hot war (is it good and what I want?) and Economic Boost (this one sounds really good but it also says in description that it is not compatible with some universe map changing mods so I am afraid to turn it on), less ships and Low CPU mode. Everything else is turned on.

I have tried reinstalling, no effect. Is there a specific component that contains that function?

I Pmed him, I'll post here if we find a solution.

Edit: OK found the problem, I did not move the contents of the 'script_AP' folder into the 'scripts' folder, I dragged and roped the 'Scripts_AP' folder its self. Problem solved I should pay more attention. Thank you for your help Archon.

So installed as directions.. even took the time out to watch the video. Brand new install from Steam (used latest no steam exe from the website..!)

Crash on going through the first gate.

No other mods installed, not even the bonus pack.

Options?

Edit: posted on last page but got no response so I deleted Steam folder and re downloaded. Same exact thing happened. Going to redownload the mod maybe bad download though that is the only thing that has been static

Will try it when I get home, oddly same situation with litcube's, no other mods ( different directory ) though it only crashes on dock. So with salvage insurance I never crash.

I have tried redownloading, is there anything else it can be? Perhaps I am missing something?

On a side note a fresh steam redownload always includes cat/dat 01 thru 04 but it looks like on the install videos others only get 01 thru 03. Could the bonus packs be installing and causing this? They're unchecked now but we're checked (and installed previously )
