Has anyone else had trouble finding Trade Command Software mkII in Terran space? The terran economy is bad enough, I'm really not looking forward to manual trading :/

Mk II can be found in Earth, McCallum Relay, Mercury and The Moon. But if I understand your intent correctly, you are searching for Mk 3. This can be found in Dark Space Cluster and in Saturn.

Actually, I was looking for mkI and mkII. mkIII was in my encyclopedia. I had all of terran space mapped, except mercury. No stations were showing the software, nor was it listed in my encyclopedia. After visiting mercury, where the mkI and mkII are sold, suddenly my encyclopedia was populated with all locations. Maybe some bug.

It's all working now, thanks anyway!

I was thinking to give this mod another try, but I see it's still 1.30d...

Is there any hope for some new version any time soon? Is Paul still with us and active?
fwiw, 1.30d is nevertheless very stable and very awesome :boron: , reflecting many years of development, refinement and bugfixing. Remaining issues are mainly small balance adjustments or small fixes you may not even notice.

Just make sure you think about any other mods/scripts you install for compatability (i.e. does the other mod/script sound like it does something that would conflict).

I was wondering is there any way to remove ship's frontal hull picture from cockpit view? because some of them very ugly. Also using cockpit mod limiting the view alot.

That's there because it's actually part of the ship model. The only way to get rid of it would be to move the location of the cockpit to the nose of the ship.

ps. does anyone else think the Kyoto looks like one of those wooden french fry forks?

Is there an XRM database?

Post by Siigari »

Yo! First, I just want to say kudos to the people who made XRM. You've mad a great play field for X enthusiasts. (And you're breeding missile dodging experts.)

I am wondering if there's an online/offline database for X3 TC/AP with XRM modifications. I'm using the downloadable map right now and it's awesome. Unfortunately it's not like a table database of ships, weapons, stuff.

If one exists, that'd be awesome! I forgot how much I love this game. Now that I'm married and don't have time for MMOs, X is a welcome retreat to entertainment that I can put down any time.
I USE XRM - my post questions and comments revolve around it!

You could also create better textures for the ships. :)

Beautiful, perfect, +1, 10/10, two thumbs up, I approve!

This is exactly what I was hoping for.

I seem to be having more encyclopedia trouble...

For the M3B Falchion, under compatible missiles, the list is empty. Shouldn't it be able to launch phantoms or shadows or something? Anything? :/

Thought so, thanks... Something is wonky with my encyclopedia. In this same game, it wasn't showing anywhere that carried Trade Command Mk2, until I visited Mercury to buy one, then it populated everywhere. Maybe if I visit a yard that sells Falchions or something... hmm

Edit: Ware size is wrong... Falchion shows ware size L, phantoms are XL. Uh ohs....

Oh, and... Mosquitoes? In my game no Terran ships can use mosquitoes. Which kinda sucks, can't use MMD.

Are you sure you installed XRM correctly?

Yup... Done this dozens of times. I am just checking all the files now, too, and it seems fine. If I scroll way back in my messages, do see the "XRM Installed" message. Everything else XRM is working fine. Military strikes, etc. The Bounty system.

I am using XRM, backgrounds, cockpits, medium hull pack, Marine Repairs, and cesg.

Edit: I am also using improved races, but afaik that is compatible.

Dont use IR with XRM, i found out that bugs my game alot and its unfortinetly unstable.

Just to test, I uninstalled IR and started a new game, spawned a Falchion and the ware size is still L.

Edit: re-copied the XRM files over, new game, and still wrong ware size and no compatible missiles on the falchion...

And yes, I did open/close the plugin manager.

Edit: I just noticed your screenshot shows a ware size of L as well. So I guess my missile size is wrong... Either way. Sum Ting Wong.

Redid it all on a fresh install in a different directory, and it seems okay now. I think it had something to do with the \program files\ folder and the write protection and stuff, since I downgraded to windows 10. Hopefully my save game isn't too borked. Didn't notice until a considerable amount of time into my game....
