With the update script they do I think, you can download the all in one sciptpack, looks on crycrows post and click on his links where it says "my work" or somethign like that, from there you can get the scriptpack, just use the advanced jumpdrive, he has an add on which makes your other ships use the AJ but is not included on the AIOSP.

With the add-on installed, the UT will use the AJD if they have one (it is expensive !) but they will still buy a normal JD at level 12.

BTW the main site is off but the mirrors listed here http://forum.egosoft.com/viewtopic.php?t=110772 seem to work.

sorry if this has been asked before, or I'm doing something wrong, but i can't seem to jump to any position except gates. exact words,

Scanning...
Jumping...
Warning, proximity alert...

And the jump is cancelled. Can someone tell me whats the problem?

Another question. SETA doesn't work with this? I'm the kind of ultra lazy bugger who jump seta so i jump IRT 2secs

if your getting promimity alert, then your trying to jump too close to something, you can jump directory to stations or anything, you have to select a clear area to jump too.

as for SETA, no jump commands work with SETA. The one from the menu is completly seperate.

if you used the standard jump commands u wont be able to use SETA either

It seems to be giving me a message that sector is too far away when its about to sectors away from it, I'm using XTM. How do I uninstall it? Im using your program, I click disable, run the game, save it(i see no message or anything that it was removed, and I see readtext where the Advanced jumpdrive once was), after that I remove the script from the program and it still has that read text on the stations and the ship.

Even though the sectors might LOOK like their 2 jumps from each other on the galaxy map, it's the ROUTE that's calculated (the number of jumps needed to travel from sector A to sector B) that determines how much fuel is needed.

As for uninstalling, once you turn it off, you may need to WAIT an hour game time before getting the uninstall message.

Ok disabled 20 minutes and nothing so far, how long is an in game hour? and im guessing seta won't speed it up right? And the jump takes less than 80E cells to jump on the mammoth, so thats not the problem.

SETA accellerates GameTime, so it should affect the AL's like that. At least, it does with my AL's.

weird, i can't seem to jump to stations/ships/sats... jumping to position only works on gates and roids... hmm.. is it possible to jump to a point which is not anchored to the map? currently i'm only allowed to choose positions that is avaible on the sector map sats/stations/ships/roids/gates. but only gates and roids dun give me the proximity alert..

any tips?

Check the shields on your ship, cause when my Terran Asgard only had 125MJ of shields, I could only jump a few sectors away. When I upgraded to 10GJ of shielding, I could jump anywhere. So I think it has something to do with the shields of your ship as well.

you cant jump to close to stations.

you use the number pad to move the cursor to a free location to jump, not the arrow keys, which will just move the cursor to each object on the map

it does, it uses the shields energy for the jump which is y it doesn't require energy cells ;)

Thanks for confirming that, now I don't feel like such an idiot who may just be imagining things...

Although that raises an important question. If I docked 2 M1's to my Asgard, would it require more shield energy to jump? I guess what I'm asking is whether or not docked ships, and the number of them, has any effect on jumping power.

Hi Cycrow.

Sorry for digging this up again :D but i need help with this script.

After installation through the PM I get blank slots in the EQ dock. There are 4 altogether. I know 3 belong to this script, not sure bout the other one yet. Also they appear under the "goods" section. Is it just me or should they be under the equipment section??

I have tried everything I can think of. From installing again from vanilla to running the setup script for it through the editor. Without success :(

Can you help?

Never mind. Fixed it myself. Had to remove the script, start a new game, activate the editor, save, THEN install the script again before I could see it for sale in the EQ dock.

Go figure :S

jsut do you know, blank spaces are caused when the ware its trying to use does not exist in the wares types files.

the most common cause of these is using a EMP based script without having emp installed
