Ex military personal from many countries are fighting in the Ukraine. I am guessing they have a variety of qualified people or can get them. They will be veterans and not noobs also.

I am also wondering when these items will arrive. In the past theres been lots of talk and unfulfilled promises.

What if Putin follows through with his nuclear threat? What is Russia's launch protocol? I am certain that he can't just hit a bedside button any more than Biden can. I doubt that he will unless he actually did lose his mind or goes shrooming with Kimmy.

That said, I still believe that if people listened to the actual issue with Russia and Ukraine and didn't just polarize it, this invasion would to be happening. There is a difference between blame and accountability, and there is more than Just Putin who are accountable for what is happening now. But the world is just too busy being lemmings and reacting to actually take the time to think, and be accountable, and act without reaction.

Are you implying that 200,000 is a low number?
It is a MASSIVE number, more than the allies sent to normandy on d day... a target where outside of defending forces, would be welcomed and fed by locals.
200,000 is a lot of troops. Anything more would be unwieldy and an absolute nightmare to supply.

Normandy Landings did indeed had under 200 000 soldiers. They were supported by equal number naval personnel (so basically 400 000). And we are talking about 5 beaches. And what was the task again? Securing the landing area, that is to say to establish beachhead for followup forces.
I want you to take a look at these 5 beaches and compare them to task ahead of the Russian forces in Ukraine.

But let us take this further - Normandy Landings were actually just opening bid in battle of Normandy, Operation Overlord. After beaches were secured, 1 452 000 soldiers followed. Two month later, over 2 million allied soldiers were operating in Northern France.

Let us look at other operations and wars:

Battle of Berlin 1945 - 2 300 000 soldiers on Red Army side, 766 750 on Nazi side.
Unternehmen Marita (Conquest of Greece 1941) - 1245 000 soldiers on Axis side, 493 000 allied
Croatian War of Independence (country that is 11 times smaller than Ukraine) 1991-1995: Phase 1: 70 000 Croats vs 150 000 strong Army of Yugoslavia. Phase 2: 150 000 Croats vs 50 000 Army of Serbian Krajina.

1: Well, I read it few minutes before you and I am not in the loop regarding the delivery

2: Some East European countries (and Germany) operates Mig-29s and Mig-23s which Ukrainians are familiar with.
Wars lead to damaged aircraft. Just being able to immediately replace your aircraft is huge boon.

Report out of Moscow is that Red Square has been barricaded and police in riot gear are stationed in Pushkinskaya Square, after having quelled protests at the start of the invasion of Ukraine.

Russia has also passed a broad law to charge people with treason for aiding foreign groups that are believed to be undermining the security of the Russian state. Which could be as simple as going against the narrative the Kremlin espouses.

Really speaks to how confident Putin is that he's in the right, doesn't it?

More countries have donated quite a few more stinger missiles, mobile antitank weapons, etc...

Maybe Ukraine should set up a base in EU to prevent its military assets from getting zerged in future potential attacks.

Let us look at other operations and wars:

Heck, even if you restrict it to actual invasions, there were something like 2 million invading troops during the invasion of Poland in WW2, and about 50% more than that during the invasion of France. If you don't have to send troops across the sea then it's a lot easier to maintain your supply lines!

Poland is now Ukraine logistic base - we send food, suplies, blood, weapons and ammo.
Multiple other countries sends supplies via us as well (e.g. Turkey, Greece).

This is so massive, that there is actually a danger that Russians might launch another attack angle from Brest in Belaruss into Lviv direction, to cut the supply line (that's why there is an info that soon Belarus army will join the invasion).
If this happens the secondary supply line via Romania could happen as well, but there is Russian Transnistria region that can to try blockade suppies as well.

Very different story though.

But this is what I have issues with - you can't do proper post-strike analyses that quickly.
They are slowed down - by destroying couple of vehicles? The convoy is demoralized - yeah, how do you quantify that? Both of these two things are assumptions you cant really quantify at this time.

I am rooting for Ukrainians in this one but use common sense whenever military "information" gets released.
